---------------------------------------------------

Specific Rules:

- settings:  Default/Preset difficulty levels.
- One Credit
- Bonus life at 15,000
- Difficulty (3 Lives, Game speed SLOW)
- No MAME Cheats
- It is suggested you use a later version of MAME (0.129 or later) as earlier versions of MAME did not emulate this game correctly.

- Last day is Monday November 26th (11:59:59pm Pacific Daylight Time), 2012.

General Rules:

- Highest score wins.

- No savestates, savestate practices, etc. during the round.

- MAME INP recordings are encouraged but optional.

- A screenshot is required to enter a score (press F12 to save screenshot showing your final score) or take a photo of the game screen.

- If you're a MARP competitor on this title, keep in mind this is just a friendly competition among forum members, so maybe you shouldn't enter. However, if you're a forum member and this is a game you're good at and nobody knows about it, this is your time to shine!

- Even if you don't have a competitive score or if you don't *think* that you have a competitive score, please post it anyway to keep the thread fun & to give everybody a good sense of score ranges.

- Please make sure your scores are from games that take place during the competition period (no posting your best score from last year, etc.).

- Use of autofire or other non-standard hacks within MAME or your PC's OS are not allowed.  No program or other person or entity of any sort may manipulate your controls during your game.  Coaching & back-seat driving is fine as long as the party doesn't directly influence the game or controls.

- If you can beat any of the high scores from the previous competitions, you can submit your score to the BYOAC High Game Scoreboard.

Good luck!

18,880 after half an hour so.

Good bonus points for trapping cop(s) in a hallway between 2 of your red doors.

The "history.dat" entry for this comes up as Atari's Avalanche on my machine...same for you guys too? I wanted to read up on it but couldn't.  =[

How do the red doors work? I can never get them to close where I want.

There are a handful of doors that open & close on their own.

You can use the 1 button to create a door along the last line that you passed.  You can create only 2 doors at a time. Each of your doors disappears after about 10 seconds.

Thanks Jasonbar for the tip on trapping the cops.   I was having a hard time understanding what you were to do with these doors.   At first I wasn't all that excited about this game but it's growing on me.   I am still confused as to when the money bonus shows up.  Is it completely random, number of coins you get, specific coins?   It always seems to me when I am at the other end of the board.

$32,520

A good game, but not good enough to catch Kixfan. I probably won't have time to play again before the deadline, so I'll post now.

$27,560.

Thanks,
-Jason

Nice score!  Glad to see others stills playing.   I've been trying to better my score but I think 30k is the closest I've come.   I usually am scoring in the 25-27k range.   I did have a really good score going, I had 20k on the first guy.   About 7k on the next.   Couldn't get any farther, lost the 2 remaining guys without scoring a single point.   This game can be very frustrating!

After my last pick was a stinker (Rally-X) I was hoping to get an opinion on...

Time Pilot
Space Fury
?

Will set competition up after I get home from work

I have a feeling that Space Fury would lead to quicker games and closer scores than Time Pilot making it a better choice IMHO.
