This game is hard...  :dizzy:

I was born in '85 so i missed most of the original games from the 80s. Does anyone have any tips? I didn't even know you could eat the cat my first few games. Kept wondering how it was fair that he just stomped all over my fresh paint job and there was little i could do about it.

Anyway, only have about 7,500 or so after 5 or 6 attempts. Hopefully I can do much better.

Good pick!

This one is kinda fun.  Here is the instruction card for reference.  I had to look it up, since it wasn't obvious to me what I was supposed to do with those rollers in the aisles.

20,540 :) Oh, and it doesn't use Galaxian type sounds, it actually has the same audio processor as Pac-Man. It'd be much more annoying if it used Galaxian sound hardware ;D

We had this game at our small town local arcade. I remember distinctly my gaming partner on this game at least a few times...my sister of all people.

BTW: That annoying ass sound track was music to my 7 y.o. ears back in the early 80's   :lol

Edit: Went to try a game and my kids have my machine all tore up...nothing works, The damn player one stick came right out of the socket...

@syph007: thanks for posting the instruction card.  My bezel artwork on my cab has a big blank white rectangle where that's supposed to go...weird.  I'll clean up my bezel with your attachment.

Had me a good game: 30,700.

Roll those fish over as much as you can--I got them up to 6400 points on the first screen.  That's pretty much where all the points are...

Also, that paint brush certainly isn't as responsive as the Pac games are--it's hard to perform quick back-and-forth maneuvers.  I think I'm liking this game less the more I play it...   :P

Thanks,
-Jason

Yeah, I think it actually tops out at 9600, but it takes some real skill/perfect timing to pull that off.

I thought I was being smart by allowing the footprint cat to live on the first level.  My plan was to casually eat footprints for points forever while I easily outran slow fish.  Too bad the cat disappeared after awhile and I didn't get the 1000pts from catching it...

Just missed the dang initials screen cause I was trying to figure out the print screen function.  The score is still on the image though.

Playing til you get 9000 for rolling a fish on the first level without losing any lives really helps, cause I tanked hard on the 2nd level after that.

For me, I actually went the other way so to speak. I was really desperate to go past the second screen, so i decided to only run over fish incidentally, with the main goal of just completing the screen. Last night I finally got to the third screen this way! But a couple of grand down from my best score. The other thing I was trying was to set a target before not bothering with the fish. 1600 seemed fairly easy to get. I'll try that approach again. Your initial fish points doubles for each screen it seems so that's one less fish to kill for each consecutive screen. This is my theory, and definitely not the best, as I really blow at pac man type maze games...

1: Calendars are tricky.

2: I meant Monday the 25th, since I started this on Mon July 11, but since it's now late on Sun the 24th, that's not much advance notice, so I've changed the end date to be Tues the 26th.

3: I'm not getting notifications when others post in this thread, for some reason.

4: 2 words: 3-day Vegas Bachelor Party...ouch...

Thanks,
-Jason

Hey jasonbar, just noticed, the ending date is screwed up...should it be Monday July 25th, or Tuesday July 26th? You have it listed as "Tuesday July 25th" ???

Sweet, I'm not the only one who screws up the date setting these things up then.   ;D

Cool, I'm going to make it Tuesday and have another go or two  ;)

Shouldn't that be up to jasonbar? ;)

nope, I'm capitalising on his mistake  ;D
