Relationship break ups gone bad!
« on: November 12, 2014, 12:35:05 pm »
My past relationships have lasted years and didn't end well. But never have I had anything like this happen to me. Now I'm curious if this type of action has happened to anyone else? Share a pic of your damaged goods from a broken relationship.

Just picked up my bike and plate is ripped off and it's keyed to ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.

Most of that will buff out.  Slap a new decal on it.  It'll be like it never happened.

Given her sloppy and half hearted work on that vandalism, I'd say you're better off with that one gone.

Sell the ---smurfette---'s car and buy yourself a cool guitar.

Now that's just plain mean. But at least it wasn't just random vandalism. I don't have any pictures as my last break up was a good 25 years ago now I took a foot to the nuts for doing it but personally I think it was worth the 10 minutes of pain. Then there is my wife's ex who went on a crazy spree when he found out she was leaving him for me  >:D He smashed the tv he had bought her, smashed the limited edition dragon statue. He then went to take a necklace she was wearing so I did the polite thing and escorted him from the house head first. All the while he's squealing how she would soon go begging back to him. 24 years later and we are still together  so I guess I had the last laugh. As for the Tv and Statue I just bought her new ones:laugh2: :laugh2:

A lot of that is to bare metal. It won't buff out. I moved to the city (good old country boy) to be with her, and first week some one pushed my bike over into a curb and dented the other side of the tank. But still... Messing with my property...

She was like "maybe some one pushed it over in the garage" and cop was like "some one definitely keyed the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of it, I used to have a bike. Let me take a picture of that email [saying she was going to sell the bike on me]"

Nothing too bad on my end.  My ex girlfriend climbed onto the roof of my truck and slammed her fat ass down until it dented the roof.

Found out today that she has a five month old son whom she named Cullen.  Presumably after the Twilight francise.  Poor bastard.   :D

Hey, if you aren't stuck with paying child support or spousal support, that is a pretty small price to pay.  You can always get new stuff.

My divorce was worth every penny times 2..  I stayed in the marriage for too long because of my kids and because of my fear of taking such a massive financial hit.  4 years later I am better off financially than I ever was, and aside from the child support that feeds her habits and not my kids, I am free of that piece of trash and thankful for it.
Thing is, aside from that relationship costing me about $65k in cash to get out of, I have yet to run into any serious psychos..

One of my former managers had a girlfriend who didn't take the breakup well, came to his house and put his cat in the dryer, turned it on, and left.  Then a week later he woke up to find her straddling him, holding a knife..

I don't know, but looking back perhaps when things got bad in relationships I let them deteriorate enough so that when we finally broke up she felt like she was getting the better end of the situation.. Passive aggressive can work for you I guess..

You know why divorce is so expensive?

The lawyers are skilled at turning it into a bigger, more stressful, drawn out battle so they can make more money.

C'mon, I thought this was a DIY community!
My divorce cost me a $135 filing fee at courthouse + half hour in court.

EDIT: and OP probably did something worse than break up with her to warrant getting his scooter keyed  ;)

I would have done the paperwork myself, but I was worried that I would miss something and later she would come back for more, so I hired a lawyer and convinced her to not contest anything and not hire her own lawyer, and it only cost me around $400 for the legal stuff.  And $65k in cash...  The kicker is that she went through that money in less than 6 months, got remarried in that time, and her new (ex)husband is now serving 15 years for trying to kill her.  Just because she didn't go all crazy on me doesn't mean she wasn't crazy...

But then, I have learned that ALL women are crazy, it is just a matter of A) how high up the scale they are, and B) if the environment they are in brings it out.

Ha..actually my divorce was just finalized a couple weeks ago.  We have no kids or real estate.  We didn't really fight over anything and had been separated for a year already.  We both had a vehicle and changed the titles to our own names before filing.  For our situation, it was ridiculous to pay thousands for a lawyer.  We ended up using an online service for $250 that prepared all the paperwork for us...all we had to do was answer a bunch of questions online.  We even had a customer service rep who was from America (not outsourced)  Once the questions were answered, they sent a pdf of all the forms needed for my state.  I had to make a small change, and they did it immediately.  Got all the forms signed and notarized and brought them to the courthouse myself.  Other than the OBSCENE $402 filing fee, everything was in perfect order for the clerk.  A week later I had the signed paperwork from the judge and clerk.

Lol, I was gonna post that video, but I figured someone would do it, haha..

@deadmoney5 Yeah I was pissed at the "filing fees", a few hundred dollars just to make some copies and file it in some vault somewhere.. In my case, I had the house, which was easy enough although I needed the quitclaim deed written up (could have done that myself), kids so I needed a parenting agreement, which I could have done but really wanted something somewhat boilerplate and generic with just a few little tweaks that I wanted to be ironclad if it ever went back to court (which saved my butt recently btw), and a 401k that I had to have a QDRO written up to transfer a portion to her, which I never would have even guessed that I needed if I hadn't had a lawyer to do the work.  All in, the few hundred in legal fees were well worth it.  But I know a lot of people who spent years and 10's of thousands of dollars fighting over petty crap that in the end nobody cared about.  My divorce took 5 weeks from the last fight where I said "I am done, time for a divorce" to the day the judge signed the papers.  I was on a plane to Vegas the very next day and had quite a good time there, far better than would have ever been possible if I was married...  After 17 years of marriage, I had a lot of sinning to catch up on.

I hear ya..Our divorce wasn't so dramatic..just became boring and stale after awhile..like roommates.  No reason for both of us to be miserable and unhappy so we decided to divorce.  She didn't even want any of my 401k or pension stuff.  She could have had half. :dunno

I had a sweeeeeeeeeet Gibson eds2175 guitar once, and the girl I was with had an amp but no speakers. I sold the guitar to buy some speakers for her amp, and we broke up after she went all cray cray and wanted to get married. Not that marriage is bad, but I was working full time and she was just sitting at home playing guitar all day getting cabin fever alone. After we split, I moved some stuff to my parents' place because I was going to be moving and wanted to put the big stuff somewhere in case I could only find an apartment or something. She showed up and said she was borrowing some stuff from me and took my drum kit and 2 4x12 cabinets. Never heard from her again. The real loss was the eds1275 though :'(

Friend of mine is dealing with a stalker ex right now.  It's kind of hilarious in a crazy way.  She sits in a restaurant that looks at the front door of his apartment for HOURS.  (This is Houston, there are no shortage of restaurants)  Last night he caught her trolling his grocery store.  I figure she's going to end up killing or marrying him.
