Your guy has to be better than the guy I used. Six months to get 4 shelf brackets and a pinball shooter brass plated!  :badmood:

They can chrome anything by varying processes.  I remember someone had chromed nerf footballs a few years back.

:applaud: very slick Ond!  How thick are the different layers of metal/coating added together? By the looks of the center section you were playing with it looks pretty stout.

I'm very happy this came out like you wanted it to or even better. As it's MDF and not steel, there's no chance of it ever rusting too, right? This cab is built to last until the world around it catches up.

So ond... What did this cost you and how long did it take?  I'm building a midsized pinball cabinet and I'm going to need a custom 14.5 inch lockdown bar.  Maybe I'll make one from MDF and have it chromed.

>As for you two giggling schoolboys....    can't you tell modern erotic art when you see it?

Hmmm.  I always thought this was going to be  MUCH more than arcade cabinet for you. :P  Maybe you will need a retro/futuristic antibacterial foam dispenser attached to it?   ;D

Just kidding.  I lurk a lot but I don't post much.  I'm very impressed with you skills & determination.

I still say this has something to do with the end of the world.  The Mayan calender is coming to an end.  Maybe Astro is in a Nostradamus quatrain?  With this have some type of particle accelerator/black hole creator inside?

Amazing, you should take a break just long enough to clone yourself so that the world can see more of what's going on in your head.  Seriously how long would it take for a bunch of industrial designers and engineers to come up with something this sweet, let alone prototype it.  You run it through the whole process, nobody is Jack of all trades, master of all.  You sir are an artist, designer, engineer all rolled into one.  Whaaaaat? :dizzy:

OMG.

I saw the original 2009 post of this project, & knew right then I was going to post a reply. I've been a lurker here for a long time, & have been fantasizing about the cab I'm going to build since 2006. But I've only posted...9 times (just checked my own profile). That cab is amazing, & the coin slot...I'm crying. That much attention to what many would consider a small detail (okay, probably not many at this site). I can't add any new praise that u haven't already been deservedly given, so I won't try. Congradulations, good luck, & I'll b lurking to c how it all turns out (& cry more then).

I agree that u should b cloned just so we could study your brain.  & if I could get a copy to work for me...

Just when you think the cab can't possibly get any better, it does!!  Watching you build this thing is like watching Michaelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel ceiling.  Takes a long time but it is a masterpiece!
