So, I've been slowly compiling design changes, and have been testing out some new hardware to make these kits better...
Some changes are in the works!
I definitely don't want the suggestions to take away from what the cabinet offers. If no changes are made at all, I still plan on getting another one. The obstacles are space in the living room and time. At some point my children will need to understand that making room for my toys is just as important as making room for theirs.
If you are looking to improve design, the CP mounting is probably the place, but adding to the instructions would go a lot further than design changes for me. FWIW I have the Golden Age Vertical and the kit didn't really cause the hurdles as much as I did. Idiot proof instructions are the solution for that.
Pick what you think is the best way to mount the CP and put the recommendation in the instructions. If people want to do something else, they will. You can add the early speaker mounting and goldleaf type button recommendations if you agree with those. In the end, I liked the option of putting the hole for the cable where I wanted, but it's another spot where officially giving your opinion would be nice, The way to keep the back on is another. I used the same velcro as the cp and it works well.
