Nice. Just started playing this one a bit since I got my dedicated 4-way. I hit 142,000 two nights ago but I'm sure I can do better now I've figured out the springs.

With the U360 I was struggling to break 100k though I don't know if it was joystick related or just practice.

I'm in on this.  My all time best is 246,XXX but I'll start playing this week and see how it goes.  I can usually get to 150,000 just about every time I play.

I only ever really played on the NES, am I playing the right rom, because mine had the girder screen on the third screen when i thought it was an elevator stage. 

My hiscore btw is a humble 14,700

Yes, a 4-way.  I'm using version .119.  But you need to compile a special version to allow the vertical bezel.  Newer versions now work.  I asked Mr. Do about it and he updated his vertical layout files for me.  Not only did he do that, he added additional ones for people with widescreen monitors!  He's awesome!

First try.  2 stupid deaths.  This game was out to get me on the barrel and pie levels.  Fireballs not cooperating and random barrels all over the place!

I got to 83,100 and then my joystick wouldn't move right checked the connector and the freaking wire came off clean! It was soldered on! Grrrrrr that was my highest score ever on DK and it should have been more

Wow.  I'm actually excited.  I know I'm lucky javeryh didn't have more time but I'll take it.

I'll try something a little different for the next one.  Please don't hate me.  I'll try to write a story to justify the choice.
