Ok, enough negatives - who's got good stuff going on???

At this moment, I just started Spring Break. Wooot! It also looks like my job duties are changing next year, and I am happy about that!

Im still sporting my chuff-boner from booking my zapcon flight; oh and I might be getting an Arkanoid this weekend!
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I'm looking forward to meeting you dorks!  I'm chuffed because I finally have a fridge in my garage which is stocked full of beer.  Oh and I'm chuffed because I've just moved into a new neighborhood and the other day I watched my neighbor across the road take delivery of a Mortal Kombat cab.  Little does he know who lurks across the road, heh heh, looks like a nice fellow too.  I helped the delivery guy with it over the steps, it was farkin heavy!

Good stuff...  Ok then.  Something momentous in my life that many of you won't understand and the few that understand the concept probably won't realize how important it is to me.  I will be squiring to someone in a couple weeks.  Sir Cosimo within the SCA - he is one of a singing quartet called the Whiskey Bards.  They're awesome, look em up on YouTube.

Feel free, man.  I'm all for some good natured smack-talk!  I've been in that group for 30 years. Believe me, you can't find something to say I haven't heard before.

My chuff was last week.. spent the week in Cabo with my girlfriend, family, and friends.  It was a "work" trip, but the most work I did was lifting several beers to my lips (a few too many).  We took 600 customers, employees, and spouses.

On Thursday I sent the GF to the spa for a few hours and sat in bed ordering a new projector for my theater room that I am renovating (old projector is for sale, with screen if anyone is interested).  Then I got home and the weather was unbelievable for Montana in March (71 on Sat, 74 on Sunday).  I demo'd the fireplace hearth and trim in the theater room and started rebuilding it.  Got a lot done.

It wasn't all good, there were some issues with the ex wife, but I won't harsh the chuff.  Instead, here is a pic of me and the gf on the beach Friday morning.  (professional photographers were running around the resort so we got a bunch of really good pics).

lol, she just dyed it before we left.. went a little more orange in the red than she wanted, but it ended up matching her tan really well, so it worked.

Been a good two weeks here...

My wife and I went to the casino for her birthday last weekend and we both doubled our money at the craps table.   I bought a new truck last week.  And finally I won a good bit of money this past Saturday betting on Nate Diaz to upset Conor McGregor.

I figure I better spill the chuff.

Last year was horrendous on many, many levels for me. My employer had been bought out by a very abusive company. It took them no time at all to drive our business into the ground and they asked me to do a number of unethical and a few illegal things in the process. I held my breath until the birth of my third child and went on a full 12 week unpaid leave, figuring that I could spend the leave time to find new work. My son was born with a heart defect, leaving me in a state of running between being in hospitals/infant critical care units/specialist visits and taking care of my other children who are to young to even be allowed to visit. I was exhausted and spent almost my entire leave on medical care, without any time to do anything. With my FMLA expiring, I finally knocked out my resume for 4 job openings, which was all I could find even in a metro area since my job is very niche.

So the Chuff comes in that my son's operation was success, so much so that the cardiologists expect he wont need any additional surgery until adulthood. he has been doing just great, with the exception of having to go back into the hospital for a another week when he contracted RSV. Of the 4 jobs I applied, the 4th one called me back, and I got an interview. By the time I had made it home from the interview, I was called back and flat out offered the job.

I have been working my new job for almost a month now and in every way it is much superior to my last position. Meanwhile, my previous employer just declared bankruptcy this week and after nationwide restaurant shut-downs, they are less than half the size they were a month ago. It's sad, but Karma's a ---smurfette--- and the new owners deserve the results of their actions.

A few people checked in on me here via PM while I was out, and while I never had the shot to reply, I am very grateful for the messages. Thank you. I will try to be a bit more regular here going forward. If I can just figure out the best way to use tapatalk since more of my workload is on cell phone.

That's great news, Vigo.  I bumped into my old boss this morning (I basically did a ---fudgesicle--- this, I'm out of here routine last year) and got asked if I missed my job.  Laughed out loud, couldn't help it.  Same deal - offered job at interview.  More money, fewer problems = adios.

Anyway, steak was on sale tonight.  I cleaned out the display case.  Cashier was impressed.

So, so sick of chicken.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it.  Hope to have better presence around here going forward.

You have done some very hard yards my friend, I'm glad things have improved for you lately, I look forward to meeting up during ZapCon and having a beer!

Ond

Thanks, man! I am really pumped for ZapCon and the fact that you are making the trip! It is going to be an excellent weekend!

Thanks, Jim! I would probably be laughing too if my boss asked me if I miss my old job.  Glad your job change is working out well for you too.

Good lord, no.  That stuff tasted amazing but caused the most volcanic shits imaginable.  I think I over salted it.  Didn't bother anyone else that dared to try it, though.

Pictured, steaks:

Contemplating going back for more....

I've found Trader Joe's has great deals on meat. Quality rib eyes for cheap?  Sign me up!

That's really great news Vigo! I love my kids to death and there is nothing more important than your health and your family.

I got a beer with your name on it at ZapCon Vigo!
If you can read this, it means Photobucket's money grab ruined my signature photos.
