Need artist for custom sf4 theme.

Hi,

I have a custom made cab and need artwork from a good artist.
The cab i have is not to the standard size spec of the usual arcade cab so it'll be custom work.
( I'll provide all the dimensions needed ).

Regardless, Im looking to upgrade the art on my cab and overhaul the theme from mame to sf4.
What i need is side art, control panel art, and artwork that shows some of the moves for certain characters.

The reason I'm asking here is because usually when i pm someone regarding art, they never get back to me about it.
So if you're an artist and you're free, give me a pm here and we can talk. Just in case, I want good quality artwork here, not some
photoshopped images from google search stacked together by a have a go hero on gimp or adobe.

also, im not looking to get the art printed by you, i just want the art files so i can take them to my nearest printers and get them printed there.

"if you're free", does indeed mean available for hire.
I'd hardly expect for someone to create art for nothing. Just in the way I wouldnt expect someone to ask me to build them a cab for nothing.

As I say, I'd like to get artwork done and I'm posting here rather than wasting my time contacting artists individually. Because lets face it, they are either too busy or just have way too many pm's in their account and couldnt be bothered to go through them. After all, the amount of people who ask for art and then disappear must be very high.

So if you're an artist and have time to spare. Give me a shout.

Just as a guideline, I'd be looking at something similar to this art :
I think it looks pretty good, but I'd prefer a ryu / ken theme. If price isnt too steep, I'd probably get a ghun li / juri art drawn up too.

I've had contact by an artist who has now beaten about the bush too many times and hasnt been in any way responsive enough to my emails.
The job is now open to any person who wants it.

I need 2 things:

1.- Sizes. Send me all measurest of decorative pieces you want.

2.- What paper do you want for this pieces? For example: backlite for marquee.

For sizes width and height is enough for a money estimation for printing.

I do not need this printed.
What I am looking for is an adobe file or vector file that I can bring to my local printers and print it from there.
He stocks a 3M vinyl that has microscopic holes in it to avoid air bubbles. Also, there is a possibility that I might have to
print the vinyl out twice if i made mistakes or needed to replace one should it get damaged.

All i need is the artwork itself, be it a jpg, adobe, or vector file.

If you can email me that would be better, very restrictive on this forum to attach images and stuff without having
to go and upload it to a seperate site etc etc.

This from a guy that is taking original artwork created by others -  scanned in by others and retouching it and then selling the result as a business. So your worried someone that pays you to do some work for them is going to take the results of that work and actually use it the way they intended to but you have no problem taking the work of others and doing a bit of retouching and then selling that -- So your fine with profiting off of others work but afraid someone might reuse your work which they already paid you to create for them -- kind of ironic isn't it !!

Are you looking for art taken from official graphics, or custom from scratch.

I can probably help you out later this year, if you're looking for a custom-from-scratch job. But I cannot supply  3D graphics like your example (too time consuming, too expensive).
My schedule might free up in around November.

Also, I only deal digitally. I provide a vectorized pdf, and you own the graphics to do with what you want.
I hold no ties to it other than being the creator and will use it for portfolio purposes.

I am after customised artwork that will suit my cab, and something that bears some resemblance to the sf cab in the pic i provided ( bison and sagat ), but I'd like
a ken/ryu theme to be honest. I've been playing sf4 a lot and have just fallen in love with the game so i want to do an overhaul on the cab graphics and make it a sf4 cab.

I'm not too bad at using gimp myself, and can muster up decent images that look alright, but the difference between a good cab and a great cab is artwork, and sadly
im a failboat when it comes to art. but ya cant be good at everything, right ? , so sadly my cab lacks that killer punch

Anyways, if anyone wants to share art down the line thats cool, i'll always be interested.
I'm not holding up much hope in getting what i want done though, seems no-one wants to do a sf4 theme because the large artwork is lacking when it comes to clean character images ( google image search ).
hell, i'd do a great job myself if ken and ryu werent doused in ink splats and swipe lines, so thats why i need a good custom artwork.

if all else fails, i'll just forget about it really and just enjoy the cab and the games.

There are actually several large images available on the net of Ken and Ryu - using Google search go to the avanced options and set the image size to >8MP and you should find several. I'm not too good at art either but here's a quick Marquee using a couple of the results in advanced search that may fit your needs - if you don't mind the reuse of images from the net.
