When I first saw this game, I knew I had to build one. It's sort of a cocktail cabinet, but higher and you can play the game with up to 4 people.

Using pictures I found online I have created plans for this cabinet and as soon as my workshop is ready, I'll start building. This will be my third build, before this I created a Galaga cabinet and a pac-man style cocktail (with a Tron theme).

Looks good. I played the giant one at a Dave and Busters. I also thought about building this cocktail but I don't think the game available? Just asking because that would determine where you place the joysticks.

Either way, will keep on eye on your progress.

The question is, what game are you going to run
in there. Pac-man CE DX is the only pac game in that screen format and it's still only 1P.

Correct, I'm creating my own version of Battle Royale for the PC (Windows). I'm using C# (Visual Studio 2010 Express) and the XNA framework (Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0). Updates on the game will also be in this thread.

I also planned on building this game as well. I love the cabinet design. However, I ran into the same problem as people here mentioned in that the game is not available. Are you going to make your version of the game available to others? If so, it is time to fire up the CNC router....

I believe you can buy Pac-Man Battle Royale for iPad. iPad has an hdmi-out adapter. You could probably make something using that....

The iPad version is free, but you can only play one level and the controls on the touch screen suck.

Distributing the game would be illegal. I'm developing it for personal use only. Maybe you could help with the development, I could probably use some beta-testers in a couple of weeks.

that looks great! Are you going with the same color scheme? Cup holders? I thought about that once then decided it wasn't worth the clean-up if a spill occurred.

Are you adding a metal bracketed base like the original?

If not, is it stable enough so that it doesn't easily tip if leaned upon?

Yes, I will add a metal base. If you lean on the top it will fall over. And the metal base will also give a bit of extra height.

Color scheme will be yellow and black, like the original. I think I will add the cupholders, because the original also has them. Not sure yet what I will use to create the cupholders...suggestions welcome.
