Painting cabs
« on: August 09, 2013, 04:53:09 pm »
Hi All,

I'm sure there must be loads somewhere, but I've had a quick search and not come up with much.

Does anyone have any videos / guides about good quality painting techniques for a glass like finish?

There must be some in project threads so if you can point me in your direction it would be much appreciated...

Thanks all,
EssJay

I did see a link in one of the project announcements for a "piano finish". I've had a quick search and I can't find it. As I recall the guide was for someone making speakers.

A google for speakers and "piano finish" got this, hope it helps:

I just painted my cab with Rustoleum high gloss black paint, looks amazing.  Not piano black, because I didn't want to re-laminate the sides.

I think there are a couple of videos created by Ond. Maybe in his retro build thread?

Edit: Yep, here's part 1 (of 3) http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,88912.msg1302324.html#msg1302324
