Thanks for the feedback :applaud:

Still not decided about color.Thought of spraypainting it with car paint. Maybee black and silver?  ???

Some pepole here use laminate which looks very nice and fast. I have not found this laminate stuff locally yet.

Making the artwork is not my strong side. Hope to find something that i can ask a friend to edit to my liking.

Where is "locally"?   ;D

There are many international posters on BYOAC and your profile doesn't show city/state/country.

This thread has some great sources for art.

Cutting a notch like this lets you bend it around corners.

I would lose the fans in the middle and put fans at bottom Pulling air in (Put a filter in there if you have Pets or they will get clogged though) and then have fan at the top Blowing the warm air out.  You can fit the fans to a fan controller to turn the speed up and down if they are a bit too noisy/distracting.

I'd like to ask if you are putting a base to stand on or legs or something to keep the unit from being pulled over toward the player? The Center Of Gravity seems pretty close to the front of the base.

Its not a straight angle.

Can't tell what that is from the pic, but my guess is that you are trying to put t-molding around a corner like the one in the side view diagram (left below) that would require the T-molding to not only bend up-and-down relative to the T-profile, but also side-to-side.

A slight overhang and keeping the sides at a right angle relative to the face of the CP (right below) will be much easier to work with.

As long as the sides are at a right angle to the face, you can apply t-molding to any curve as shown at 16:25 of this video from the Side Art Install 101 thread.

You Got i right Scott. I might do over the cp. I do not have the t-molding yet.
I am waiting for the routing bit for this to get back in stock at t-molding.com or gamemolding.com before ordering.

I hope i do not have to make a base, looks better like this.
It is a bit front heavy, i consider cutting some of the bottom to make it lean more back.
See pictures of experimenting with some left over mdf underneath the front.

GGG has the slot cutter in stock and carries a variety of 3/4" T-molding -- if you don't feel like waiting.

If Jammin0 can do a Ninja Monkeys cab and Eds1275 can do a Spinal Tap/Marshall Amp cab and a Lime-Aid the Lime Arcade cab, you should be be able to pull off an Iron Maiden cab.

An update.

First some mistakes:
Dropped one of the back panels and cracked it. Start over

Was routing of some of the sidepanel to change the angle of the cab. The Guide i used for the router slipped and this happend.

I had to remove more than planned of the sidepanel but i worked out ok. At least it wont tip forward now, rather against the wall.

Made holes for the fans and test mounted.

I received my order from arcadeshop.de

Painted the inside of the cab with some left over paint

I also change my mind about the rear panel, was going to mount them with umbraco bolts but in no working on some hinges to make it easy to service.

I got the t-moulding and slot cutter from GroovyGameGear.com today. need to get a different router for this as the one i have now only takes 8 mm bits :o very fast delivery from GGG :applaud:

Looks pretty good.

Only issue on the layout is possibly the clearance for the P1 joystick wiring on the left side.  :dunno

You may want to make a test panel in cheap hardboard or corrugated cardboard before you drill into your MDF.

The only other thing is the angle of the panel -- it looks uncomfortably steep.

There will be a small clearance but yes, its tight ;)

I agree about the angle but i decided to try like this, if it does not work ill have to start over on the whole cp.

This is a solid build. Looks great.  Hard to believe it's your first one.

Thanks! Now im looking forward to wire it up and mount all the components. ;D

I got some painting done. Primer on Sunday and sanded and painted it last night. This paint has a very nice smell to it  :dizzy:

Gotcha!
Biltema ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- won't come near my garage and/or house. Also, I used to work there and don't feel like spending my money there anymore..
For paint, automotive is pretty good. Gives you a hard finish that would buff out to ble glossy as a polished turd!  ;D
If you ever need good quality paint for other use I highly recommend Montana, you might want to check out this webshop.
