Coin Mech for MAME cab help.
«

Hi all, i'm new to this site, and pretty much a noob to the Cabinet building process.
I have a question about coin doors. The one i'm really interested in purchasing for my cab is this one:-
http://www.arcadeshop.de/Coin-Mech-Coin-Door-344x285-2-Entry_849.html
My question is. Would this be ready to fit into the cab and start using straight away? Or would i have to purchase anything else with it. It states on the description "Medium coin door suitable for all mechanical and electronic 3.5" built-in coin-acceptor units." ...what does this mean??
thanks for your help

hey dude,
well i also order from that site as i live in NL.
you only need the coin mechs to fit in the same door, it has all exept the mech
http://www.arcadeshop.de/Coin-Mech-Coin-Mechanism-05-EUR_595.html
check with them if it will fit in the door
just email them they can explain you

ok thanks for that, i understand now i need the actual mechs.
I've noticed on their site the coins are in Euros. It says coin selector for 0.5-EUR-coins. Does anyone know if these are the same size as a 10p coin, will it accept UK 10p coins??

No,
the coin mech does it on size and weight.
you can try to find a token maker in the UK and ask them so make you tokens just give them a 50 euro cent piece.
but i will be cheaper just to get some 50 euro cent pieces at your local currency shop
