no markings on it other then someone with a silver marker.. says streetf #12 at the top..
and on the bottom it says 630
i assume the vender most likely had the door on a street fighter at one time.. dunno.
anyway i see this type of door on a lot of games/cabinets of the mid to early 80's.. and those was coin controls.. so thats what makes me thinks this is a coin contorl as wel.
happ's does have some doors that look liek this..
http://www.happ.com/coindoors/40000800.htm (athough it looks like it has those clips for mounting rather then holes in the frame.
a pinball door looks almost identical
http://www.happ.com/coindoors/40070700.htmprice is 65.45 + s&h
i've seen coin doors on ebay go for 20-30, less then half of a new one from happs, so my thought was to get a coin door and strip it down and move it's hardware over to this one.
so the question was are the mech holders universal? if so does buying a used door off ebay sound feasible way to restore this one.
personally i like the over under better, this one drops down some plastic tubing.. to the vault which takes up quite a lot of room.. but putting a O/U on it means replacing the entire kick panel which is more work/money and i'd still have to get the parts for a working door.
