I want to plug a USB device directly to the USB pins on my motherboard (so as not to waste any of the USB ports).  Is there some sort of adapter I can buy?

Thanks!

Here is one.  I am sure there are many others available.

Same thing, little cheaper.

Why not just buy a USB hub? ???

Thanks for the links - I want to make a custom shell-mounted i/o panel for my next cabinet and solutions like this are great.

I always think its best to use the on-board USB ports if they are present, but the M/B manufacturers dont make it easy to find or buy the header cables that are guaranteed to work.

Mind you if you think those are tricky to find, try finding a serial port header cable for an ASUS board! Virtually impossible, I had to make one in the end.

You could have traded one of your Ipac4 with mine :)
