Happ Perfect 360's and power supply
« on: January 21, 2005, 12:23:53 am »
I know you can daisy chain the grounds but does anyone know if you can daisy chain the +5V on the 360's?  I was going to get the power from a Y-splitter on my molex connection from the PC power supply.

My other option is to run a separate line for each joystick.  Thanks.

Thanks Nasty,

I just realized that it would probably be a heck of a lot easier to pull the power from the Optipac than it would from the PC power supply.  Less running of wire and all self contained within the CP.

I was told that the Happ 360 could connect to a regular encoder, like the IPac4 and you didn't specifically need an optical encoder, that true? I am contemplating the 360's but still on the fence...

It can be hooked up to the I-pac but it apparently is easier to hook up to the opti-pac.  Since I've got one of those already going into my CP I figured I'd take the easiest way.  Based on some other comments I'm trying to figure out what the Best way to go about this is.

I have an I-pac 4 and i see no connections for power. My plan had been to run a wire from my power supply. Can anyone confirm if the ipac-4 has 5v that can be used?

you only need 2 of those pins (check the site which ones). Use an extra cable from a CASE that hooks up to the LED, RESET, SPEAKER etc.. of the motherboard.
