Cameltry spinner type?
« on: November 08, 2004, 10:15:33 am »
I doubt anyone can answer this, since this game was an obscure kit, but does any one know if the game Cameltry is supposed to use a geared spinner (Arkanoid style) or free-spinning spinner (Tempest style)?

According to KLOV it uses the same unit as Arknoid.

Don't know if KLOV is right though.

I played this alot in MAME. I have the Tornado Spinner and the way I feel it, it should be geared IMO. Never seen the real thing.

Not sure if gear or non-gear matters, what matters is setting up your analog settings for that sucker so that one spinner rotation = one screen rotation.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

hey, it might work GREAT with a 720 controller... Wish we could add the reset direction working... Then it would be really cool.

Ha ha ha...

By the way, it looks like the 720 arcade controller code isn't working right in the newer versions of Mame with my particular setup.  (At least using advancemame in Linux, but I'm guessing that it's also true for regular mame).  I can't seem find the analog setting sweet spot.  49 is too little, and 50 is too much.

Anyway to try 49.5? Maybe you can do it in the ini file or something?
