Excellent LT that was what I was looking for. The only tweak I could see is maybe the letters slightly larger, maybe 20% I love it. See you can do this stuff.

The lettering needs tightening up, but here's what this mornings tinkering produced. I don't know what the ---fudgesicle--- I'm doing.  :lol

How's this?

How about removing the upper and lower lines? Just to see the difference.

The Bright yellow looks too clean, can you put the dirty wash back on it?. Do you have any Ideas for the bezel/CPO LT?

To Save money I got some of this I could use for the bezel/CP.

What do you think? Better of doing something custom.or using something like this?

The Camo vinyl from Ebay with this dirt looking white star on it (The star is also vinyl, have to get it printed). LT everything looks good I appreciate your help. If I wasn't working 60 hours a week right now I would already have it done.I'm off this weekend so i'm gonna get the cabinet ready and primered. I have enough black acrylic enamel to spray it if it needs it. Also I need to figure out the best way to mount the TV/monitor.If I get all of that done then I'm gonna try and adapt the Namco plug n play to a joystick and buttons. I'm pretty good on budget I've spent  about $70 so far. It's gonna be tight. But if I go over it's not a big deal. This is hard because I really never tried to adhere to a budget. The CP/Bezel is all that i'm not sure about. I could use the black carbon fiber stuff I have or try to print something, or maybe a combination of that.

I like 4 the best, it's the boldest. But it's apples and oranges to me. As long as my nephew is happy i'm happy. I do want it to look good. I think for a quick easy super cheap project that is bulletproof (only hardware,no software to screw up)I think it is super cool.

The Carbon Fiber should fit in well with the Camo sides and Marquee ( Perhaps make the Star the same Worn Yellowish color as the marquee rather than White to blend it together  :dunno )

Should be able to just use the camo vinyl and have a Local printer print the yellow pieces on either transparent adhesive backed vinyl or white and cut out the design with an exacto knife and apply. Rather than print the entire side\marquee

The Camo vinyl from Ebay with .......The CP/Bezel is all that i'm not sure about. I could use the black carbon fiber stuff I have or try to print something, or maybe a combination of that.

Pretty sure the Black Carbon fibre vinyl stuff you are looking at is what I used for this CP - it's strong stuff, but as you can see is a bit plain, might work well on front of cab with marque and Camo on sides etc, but think you'll be disappointed if you use for CP and Bezel.

Well I shot  on my budget anyway. I was going to use that friggin plug n play and soldering the joystick area was a night mare so I said the hell with and got a 60 n 1 and a jamma harness. Ideally I would use a computer, but my sister in law's family are notorious for F'ing things up. Especially computers. They have more viruses on their network than an aids floor in a hospital. So the computer thing is out of the question because I don't want to mess with it after they screw it up. But with a 60 in one there is nothing to screw up. Plus I put it in and it's done no configuring. So my $150 is pretty much shot. I spent $92 on card, jamma harness, and T molding. That puts me roughly at around $140. To be honest if I had to buy everything I would have a ton more in it. But I have a bunch of buttons, joystick,a switching power supply and a monitor. So the camo vinyl will be around $35 if I paint the front black. around $55 if I do all 3 sides. The marquee and the stars will probably be $30 to $40. If I print a bezel/CP, it will probably be around $80.
So I got it all together and primed, I will take some pictures tomorrow. The cab design is super easy to do. I'm gonna build me one after the first of the year and use a CRT and put AAE on it. Maybe I'll do a woody. Make it look like a piece of nice furniture.

If you want to go back to the Plug and play and use the 60 in 1 for something else - Toys r Us has them for $25 online ( http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12974067&cagpspn=plat_12904171&camp=PLAPPCG-_-PID12904171:TRUS&eESource=CAPLA_DF:12974067:TRUS ) in the new version just like the ones used by ChanceKJ and my build. They Show it as In stock with about $6 shipping (or free if you add another $25 in product) or you can check stock in your area stores. I just checked my area and the closest 2 locations are out but there are 2 others about 15- 20 miles away that have them according to the site so check your area and you might find one in stock and save the shipping and be able to pick it up today !

Hey JDfan, It's not that I couldn't get another one. They changed the way the plug and play inputs the joystick signal. If you look below you will see vwhat i'm talking about.

Ahh was yours the same shape outer case ?? (was thinking maybe it was a different version of the thing) - If so what a bummer looks like from the dates on the 2 PCBs that your is the newer version also (chance's from April and yours from Dec 2012) -- I guess I just got lucky and got an older board from Kmart when I purchased as mine was exactly like Chance's.

Hmm - Guess it would be kind of difficult to get Toys R us to let you open it to see which it included  :banghead:

Perhaps you could scrape off the traces at the center strip of the buttons to create a break and make solder point for each side that didn't overlap in the centers to provide an easier solder job (if you don't mind taking a chance of breaking it might be worth an attempt)

For the mock ups I kind of like the Camo fronts also but it does get to be a bit too much camo -- What would it look like with the bottom half of the front in camo and the upper part (from just below the marquee area up) black ? ( Unless you happen to have some aluminum\metal diamond kickplate for the bottom of the front laying around !)

Which camo style JDfan? As far as the plug n play. I am about over it. I spent 5 hours trying to get it working. It is just not worth it. Plus he gets 50 more games. I spend more money, big deal.
