Which camo style JDfan? As far as the plug n play. I am about over it. I spent 5 hours trying to get it working. It is just not worth it. Plus he gets 50 more games. I spend more money, big deal.

Think the bottom one has more of a military look - the middle seems more for a duck blind etc. so would probably go with the bottom one - since it fits the theme a bit better. (But either would work !) -- also I think what is throwing off the look of the botttom one is the seam in the texture (which will not be there in the actual build) as it draws your eye to the seam and non matching of the camo rather than a seamless single pattern.

I like the bottom, black front with the larger print. Looks like a vehicle of some sort.

One on the left with the black front for sure, It's the clear winner. Large camo print and the black breaks up the design and looks sharp.  Besides, if you went all combo you risk people running into it when they can't see it sitting in the living room hidden so well.  ;D

Sucks about the plug and play, not impossible, but does seem to make the job that much harder. I'd try masking off an area of each pad and soldering to the sections of the outer ring.

Why?... because I could never find any art I loved on the net. So I played around with Photoshop and wish to share it with the arcade community.

Why not just intentionally break the traces to make soldering a billion times easier?

Got it together and painted.I went a head and painted the sides to give the vinyl something to stick to. The only real screw up was when I cut out the area for the marquee,it needed to be recessed. The cab was already together. A router wouldn't fit in between the sides, so I had to use an oscillating saw. It was kind of rough on the inside, but you won't see it. I'm still diggin my HVLP spray gun. It sprays like a dream. It will even spray latex pretty well. Well here are some pics. I forgot to take off one piece of tape on the top. It will have black T molding too.

Hey by the way if anyone has any art Ideas for the CP/bezel. Throw them out there. I'll probably put custom art on the CP/bezel since i screwed the pooch on my budget anyway.I was thinking something like the control panel/dash of a tank.

How many buttons for a 60 in one Jamma.Does anyone know. I could probably put a second joystick on there but it would be awful cramped.

You don't need two controls. You're not running in cocktail mode on that board. P1 & P2 will use the same controls.

Layout is set for horizontal because I already had those dimensions from my build. Can easily be changed if you wanna go with this. No sweat either way. I was just tinkering while watching True Detective.

Was it the second episode?  :dizzy:

No. Just started this morning. 1st episode down. Is the 2nd crazy/confusing? It's interesting so far, I mean 1st episode and all.  :dunno

When you see the scene in the second episode, you'll know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.   >:D

 All right. Now I'm looking forward to it. It'll be tomorrow morning as per my startup ritual of Netflix/TV/Movies and sketchup/photoshop or some other ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---. Just powered through SoA and can't wait for the end tomorrow.

Cheers, 'mano.

Let's put it this way - I'd never seen an episode, and then someone on another board told me I have to watch the second episode just for one scene. So I grabbed it, saw it, and agreed that it was totally worth it.

ur a the $hit LT,that is perfect. you have saved me a ton of work. The button layout can be fixed later. BTW I ordered the camo vinyl, I went the conventional camo style. Also I'm gonna leave the front black, with a 4 inch piece of black diamond plate across the bottom.

Ok Yotsuya, It's a four inch wide black powder coat diamond plate piece that blends in with the black. You know I am a redneck from KY. I just have a little better pedigree than most other rednecks here. Ultimately I will put it on there because he's seven and wild enough to shoot at.He will have it scratched all to hell in no time if I don't.But, if it looks like $hit I won't screw it on there. I'm with you, I don't like the shiny diamond plate look. The black to me is okay though.I'm gonna come to phoenix and screw shiny diamond plate to the front of all your arcades, hang balls from your wife's vehicle, and put mud flaps with naked women on them on your truck.

Hey, don't knock ideas like those novelty testies. The guy who marketed those probably makes more then both of us combined.

It's actually testes. Testies are Those who participate in formal testing. So says the urban dictionary. For example" Yotsuya has large testes." And the other example is" Yotsuya was was of testies who failed the exam.

Ok, black diamond plate might look cool. I just though some shiny ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- at the bottom would throw off the clean black look. Test it out.

Ahh yes.  :o    I'm familiar with the incredible miss Alexandra Daddario and her... bodacious talent(s). I watched Texas Chainsaw 3D a few months back. This episode of TD was, uh... it... I would say, it shows a better, larger scope of her talent(s). hahaha

Those were the most glorious breasteses I have ever seen captured on celluloid/digital video. Well worth the download.

.....You know I am a redneck from KY. I just have a little better pedigree than most other rednecks here. .....

Hey!! Watch yer mouth thar youngin! You and yer fancy pedigrees! When I was yer age we didn't even know what that thar word meant.
Now excuse me whilst I throw this here freshly killed possum up on the ole pot belly stove.
Killed the sucker this morning, so its gonna be fresh and yum yum yumy.
Tried to miss him by going right over but them fake balls on my trailer hitch knocked him dead.
I told the wives that those things were good fer somethin, now they all agree.
Come on over, bring yer wives and the kids and some of that freshly made home brew.

Looks nice.  you may have mentioned it, but what HVLP gun are you using?  I am going to be painting a kitchens worth of cabinets in the not to distant future (new cabinets, made by me) and am looking to spray.
I do realize this is a budget thread, But Jennifer just Loves, Loves, Loves her.... Spray Gun 4000 - Pro-Tek - The Pro's Choice
[/That budget Idea was an idea. And that was all it was.The budget is shot. But you should blame L.T. he is the one who is posting all the sketch up models with cool artwork on them. I am only human, I have a problem, and it's not big balls. It's big budgets.

Hey Da Old Ma,n If KY invaded Canada do you think we would win? Our invasion would start in Calgary where we would take all our 4x4 trucks and run over all of their hybrids and finish them off with our cold steel balls. They would surely surrender after that.We would pollute their clean cities with cigarette smoke, empty beer cans, and chicken bones. Our second wave We would overload their national healthcare system with expensive cancer and cholesterol drugs.

Now now don't get snippy. I was only messing with you. Actually if KY did go to war with Canada we would lose because we are all overweight ,most everyone smokes, and get out of breath easy. Lets not turn this into a USA VS Canada thing. The other 49 states were innocent. You know i'm just playin Chance. KY could invade Arizona instead. But probably not because it's hot and most fat people don't like hot weather.
