Summer of Star Wars game suggestions

So with so many Star Wars themes being done this year, I was wondering what star wars games everyone was using on their cabs?

The problem with the original arcade games is if you don't have the yoke, they are not much fun to play.  I finished my star wars themed cab and delivered it to my friend and the first question his kids asked is which star wars games it had on it.  I was kind of embarrassed because I hadn't gotten any on there.  They are young kids so they aren't that good with the controls yet, and I didn't want to put stuff on that was difficult to play with a trackball or joystick.

So I was thinking that maybe I still have Pod Racer for the PC lying around, or I can get ahold of a copy, and set that up with the analog mode of the U360 joysticks and have at least one good star wars game for them to play.  Not sure if you can get through the selection and start of the game with just 6 buttons, 2 start buttons, and 3 admin buttons though. 

I was also wondering if LEGO star wars could be played with an analog stick or with the trackball, given that no mouse buttons are available.  That one would be cool, and I know it can be played on a gamepad for consoles, so I imagine it could be set up..

Has anyone tried either of these, or have any other Star Wars based games (PC or something that can be emulated) that are fun to play without a yoke?

I played Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on my atari for hours.  The SNES Star Wars games are fun too.  +1 to the Pod Racer game.

Someone posted that they play the lego games on their arcade cabinets, so the lego star wars maybe worth a shot.

Try out the 32X version of Star Wars Arcade.  It runs great on the Fusion emulator.

Also there are a few Playstation games that will be cab friendly and should work well on an emulator:

Jedi Power Battles (2 player beat 'em up)
Masters of Teras Kasi (1 on 1 fighting)

Actually, the original arcade version of SW is very playable with a trackball - especially if the kids don't know it's supposed to be a yoke.

Awesome suggestions guys, thanks!  My concern isn't so much that the originals aren't playable without the yoke, just that the games are fast paced enough to make it hard to play with a trackball if you aren't quick on the controls.  As an experienced gamer I picked it up fast, but these kids were having trouble just maneuvering their planes in 1941, so I just can't see them enjoying it until they are a little older and have a better feel for the controls.  I might still set it up, I was gonna test it before it was delivered but I just ran out of time for "fine tuning" and the ~200 games on there already are more than enough to keep them busy for a while, especially given they have almost no experience playing video games.  They recognized Galaga though and had fun playing it.

I play the Lego Star Wars on my cab.  It works with standard controls just fine.

Awesome, thanks for verifying that for me.  Looks like you can get the entire lego star wars on steam for $19.99, so I might just add that to my cab for the heck of it, and then set up my buddy's with it.  I fired up the SNES super star wars games, they are not too bad.  I looked into getting the PC version of pod racer working... I guess there is a 64 bit loader out there that does work, but from what I have read the game is fraught with bugs.  I don't remember that when playing on the PC many years ago, but then that was so stinking long ago.  I haven't seen any updates in a month, but in the racing forum someone was posting updates about recent development with Demul, particularly on pod racer.  Ideally I would LOVE to be able to run the arcade version through Demul and be able to use the two analog joysticks like the original controllers.. THAT would be awesome.. But I would settle for a single analog stick as long as it could work..  I was also working on firing up x-wing vs tie fighter.. I played that game for many hours way back in the day.. so long ago though...
