AimTrak's and Rear Projection LCD TV
« on: March 28, 2013, 07:02:43 pm »
Hey Guys,

Searched for an hour and never did find a definitive answer; will a pair of AimTrack guns work on a rear projection LCD TV?

Thank You...

Of course they will. Since they use infrared led triangulation for aiming it doesn't matter what type of display it is.

good day.

Thanks Chopper,

Having said that, not that there is any reason to do so, and you could not see what you are shooting at, but as long as the LED strips were mounted properly you could shoot at a blank wall right?

build box,
put a bunch of solenoids in box poking through the top, all connected through a bit of circuitry to an LEDwiz
put box on shelf
put empty soda cans on each solenoid

calibrate your aimtrak right
Write some code to connect aimtrak fire to location of cans

plink cans in your living room any time you want!
