Rotating monitor retro fit.

Not being able to control my envy for all these rotating monitor cab teases I decided I needed one.
My multi-emu / gameex cab was the best candidate so a retro fit was on.
I can not claim any original thought went into this at all, the hardware is an exact copy of griffindods build (thank you), I also only really have one shot of the build process sorry.
Anyway gameex has a really useful facility to send commands or launch apps/files both before and after loading games, so using AHK files was a dead simple way to activate the usb driver board.
Well everything just about fitted so here is a very bad quality video

what size is that monitor?
 It seems to me that often when a rotating monitor is done, the monitor is on the smaller size to allow for the movement
but this monitor seems to fill the cabinet very nicely.

Think I will just reply with "thanks" for that one .
No thanks guys for the comments, the only really original part of the build from me was putting the limit switched on a adjustable post to fine tune the final screen position.
Speaking of screens its a 21" and was what was already in it  - and just about spun when decased.
One other thing of note is why the hell don`t the manufacturers have the real pivot point exactly center of the vesa mount?.
So I forgot I had some pics on my phone from the first fitting, as a rethink was needed to overcome some cable friction that was sorted with a cut out and a crafty twist and anchor.

If I had mine to do over again, I'd use a 21-22" 4:3 LCD instead of a widescreen.
It looks much nicer without so much bezel around the monitor.

It supposed to be centered by weight, but manufacturers aren't required to adhere to that.

Does anyone still make a 4:3 that big?  Everything seems to be widescreen now.

Mostly I just buy used ones on ebay, here in the UK we have  these pricey ones.

For those prices I'd just buy a 27" widescreen - and for vertical games, you'd have almost the same screen size as a vertical 21"

How wide is your cabinet?  (inside dimensions).  Mines is 24" wide, and I keep thinking I should rebuild it to be 26" to make room for a trackball.

60cm so thats just under 24"  you should be golden! ,it is a really tight fit under there but as you can see it all just about fits.
To get the room for the rotation I had to change the angle of the screen and drop the CP back and down a bit you can see from the pic that the monitor surround invades up behind the marquee and also down behind the CP a fair bit.
