Now I need to start softening her up so I can go see T4...kidless... wifeless...that way I don't have to answer 47 questions during the movie.Wtf, you need permission to go see a movie?!

Yeah, I didn't get along too well with the 'men' in St. Louis - to put it mildly.

Oh, I lived there a couple years, didn't really care for it. A lot of cultural differences, etc.
STL here also, well, Belleville actually, and not going to mention the 'men' comment!Belle-Vegas in the house!
Nevermind..... :burgerking:
PBW79, alpha-dog challenges will be settled on the battlefield of a White Castle eating contest.
One weekend, I decided I was going to "St. Louis It Up" and got a case of sliders and a case of light beer. I ate 1.5 sliders and drank 2 beers and my stomach went insane. I spent 3 hours of the toilet shitting my brains out and had to stay close to one at all times for a couple of days. The only other time I got anywhere near as sick was when I ate some old goat curry out of a shack in the caribbean. :/
The whole idea of 20 Bud Lights supports Jim's point a lot more than yours, Flake. You'd think a person would learn after the first 4-5 of them.
Now, now dont go bashing AB......errr......Inbev products. A quality beverage it is produced here locally (for me). My point of drinking 20 beers was more to the point of just getting drunk enough to properly enjoy the sliders. If you get bombed on 5 beers more power to you I suppose......

If you were to drink a real beer it wouldn't take 20 of them. What's the point of 20 light beers? Isn't that like eating 10 boxes of Snackwells? What's the point of light anything if you're going to consume 5x the amount?
That's not even addressing how terrible Bud Light in particular is... we're talking 2 proof mop runoff.
I enjoy many "full" beers.....Guiness and Guiness based mixed beers (Black and Blue/Black and Tan), Blue Moon, Bass, Rolling Rock, Labatts Blue, Shlafly (local STL brew), and the list goes on and on.......But even still takes a good amount to do the job.
It would be a helluva lot cheaper if it only took 5. The problem with beer, is that it tastes so damn good.
You see son, beer is a lot like a woman. They taste good, they smell good, and you'd step over your own mother to get one. But one one woman isn't enough...
Jim, if it were really 4-5%, he wouldn't be able to drink 20 of them. Not unless he's doing it over a long period of time. Or unless a slider is so terrible he has to be Dudley Moore drunk to choke it down.
Flake, I am disappointed...it's Homer's girl talk to Bart
And one final point, because this is getting tiring......Guinness comes in a can, same as your fast food Bud Light beer. I suppose thats one of your exceptions though.
You know what happens if you go to a beer forum and ask about canned beer? The scream at you to get that X Arcade off your cabinet.
Euro beer tastes like it was brewed through a butt crack...and not a hot girls's butt crack, but a big, sweaty, hairy, Philly fan's butt crack.
Ahh, but this weekend I shall break out the Maker's Mark for the KY Derby....mmmmm bourbon, the darkest of the dark liquors.
Did they really just say KY Derby and then argue over brownest of the browns?
Ahh, but this weekend I shall break out the Maker's Mark for the KY Derby....mmmmm bourbon, the darkest of the dark liquors.
Ha! I think its "brownest of the browns", not "darkest of the dark". Sorry but I had to redeem myself for my earlier mishap.
Did they really just say KY Derby and then argue over brownest of the browns?
Ahhh cornhole humor...that's the direction we're gonna take this, huh?
But there's something evil in it that makes me black out and act obnoxious, and then I come here and post
All of UMass runs on Natty Light. There are people who actually support themselves wandering around campus and the outlying apartment complexes picking up Natty Light cans. UMass might be 50% of the sales of Natty Light - it's really weird. You'll go into a liquor store on friday and there are 250 cases of it sitting there.

Jim Koch must not be too happy about that.
Wait wait wait - my bad. It's not Natty Light. It's Natty Ice. Not sure why I said Light.
Holy crap!! I don't think I've ever seen Natty Ice. How long ago was that? I assume it wasn't recent...the "ice" craze ended about 13 years ago.
maybe it's a regional thing. Or maybe I just have tunnel vision at the convenience store beer case.
When I was in college, we had this juco transfer come in for a visit. He was an offensive tackle, about 6'7, 325 lbs and looked like a sasquatch. We take him to the bar and he says to the bartender..."Do you have any Zima?" :laugh2: In this voice that sounded like McBain.
Of course the coaches signed him up...and we went 3-7 the next year.
Still getting a chuckle out of Natty Ice. Never tasted it, but it sounds like Natty Light's ugly sister. I imagine taking a drink and having a Family Guy-like puke-a-thon.

I am not worthy of this contest as you well know.
Well, to their credit, when they open the doors on Sunday mornings, there is a stampede of men straight to the pinball section. I offered to help the sales guy set a System3 machine to Free Play for $50, he wasn't amused. Enjoy crediting that thing up every 3 minutes, chump! :D
Tried to hustle a Jurassic Park on a shopper in there, "$1,500 and it's way nicer than their stuff" and I think he thought I was just trying to mug him.
I don't think we've got anything like that place in San Antonio. :'(
Well damn man that sucks. Maybe pinball just gets you too worked up period. In that case I would be willing to take JP or TFTC off your hands. I'm only offering because its in your best interest.
I can assure you I couldnt win any competition between us if you were falling down drunk and I was completely sober. I'm still looking to beat Chuck's high score he had on my Demo Man - and he probably only played 30 games on it. I've probably played 3-4x's that and I'm not even close. I have 2nd - 4th place all wrapped up though :laugh2:
Next time I am limiting myself to a six pack.
I had a Zima with a jolly rancher dissolved in it.
I've always wanted to try the candy in the Zima trick again and see if it actually tastes as close as I remember it.....
I'm going over to uncle Bubbles' (Flake) tomorrow to obliderate his Time Pilot high score. While I'm there, I'm thinking about knocking off his treasured DemoMan high score. He is comfortable in talking ---Cleveland steamer--- that there is no way I can beat it, but I know which plug to disconnect to give me unlimited balls.
I believe the original arcade had a 49-way joystick. For the multi-williams boards, the game was modified to use an 8-way joystick.
In Mame, it runs like it should using a 49-way joystick so to play it correctly you would need a 49-way.
I think all of this is true anyway.
Let's pretend Flake and I have limited knowledge as far as cabinet hardware.
On KC Craiglsist there is a guy with a STTNG $4000, TOM $3800, and TOTAN for $3500. Sellers says they are in excellent condition. One of you guys should jump on one of these, or pool your money together and buy one (or all)!
If that TOM was closer to $3000 I would probably jump on it.
TFTC for $1100... what do you think?

Right down the street no less. If it's still there this weekend, I may have to inverstigate.
Yes sir. I come from the village of Highland. Maybe sometime I will get to meet up with you guys.
PBJ = smegma
PBJ = smegma
I had to look that up.

Hey man, I hit 308 when I lived in St. Louis. I know what that midwest diet does to ya. :-\
The midwest? Forget it. It's all fried with a side of potatoes.
One of you guys should buy a sit down racer, when you tire of it I will buy it & we can just float it around from STL-BYOAC member to member.

Thats actually not a bad idea. I wont be able to make the auction since I'll be at the lake but LL could buy one. BTW LL - If you spot something cool give me a call so you can bid on it for me :)
I have 3 broken pins & a ---Cleveland steamer--- CRT to fix.................. no SA for me :-(

I am thinking about trying to get my hands on a decent classic cabinet and putting in a 48/60 in one board with just a 4 way stick and 1 button. Can you disable games on those things? I am wanting to leave the classic 4 way games only on the menu. Then, remove my Ultimarcs from my mame and replace them with Happ Competions and remove the 4 ways from the menu. The Ultimarc 4/8 switchable is not a bad stick, but nobody but me can figure out how/when to switch it. Plus, The short throw gives me fits playing some games...specifically Robotron. I wish there was a nice way to make mame play nice with a 49 way. I've got 3 of them just laying around.
Just got done playing...new hs (811K).
Are you sure you meant 811K? Not to give you a hard time, but I found a TOM on route and after about $5 I think I put up a score of like 300 million. The high score was something like 1 billion.
If someone would take my ES and a grand for TSPP, consider the trigger pulled.
I'll buy all the $1,700 TSPPs you can find all day long.
Tomorrow I will eat, drink & be merry.....That usually means I black out, piss my pants & wake up to a pile of taco bell next to the dartboard.LOL I have done that. Minus the pissing the pants though.
Nice, I will be @ the ozarks next weekend with a few friends so hopefully the weather improves.
Are you guys going to go to the pinball event in IL mentioned in the CP news email: http://supershow.popbumper.com/
Welcome to STL, now get yourself some Lions Choice, Imo's & White castles.
You dorks are assuming he is 21 or older. Did they mention CP's is $10 to get in and all machines are set to free play?
Hey PPL of STL
Who do you guys goto to get pcbs and monitors worked on?
If there were 15 pinballs, that would surpass the combined total of every other auction since the good one last November.
Did you find a kiddie ride?
The Hyperspin is really awesome. Thats what I have been running in my cab. It is resource intensive so you gotta have a decent computer to make it run optimally.
LL - There is a guy wanting me to buy his JP for 1500 I believe it was. He is in STL somewhere. Want me to forward you his email to me that has the pics?
Dude buy that Demo man from Chuck....>:D
I live in KC, but I will make it over there someday. He has a lot of games that I have not played but really want to.
Just browsing STL CL, Batman $800. I think it is fun and I love the theme and art.

Right before I blacked out & nearly pissed on the floor I think Chuck said he was parting out a few machines for the LCD project....
You should be the test rat of the pack & build one (you make the expensive mistakes so we wont have to).
Unfortunately I am the guy building this for Chuck.
He supplies the cabinets, we both buy our own hardware/displays & then his tools & wood working people do all the routing & etc to recess in the 46LCD & other modifications that require the precision, tools & skills I lack. Then I do all the tech work :(
JM, I am now a member of your ranks. I pulled the trigger on that CJ7. It's at the mechanic right now to fix a suspension/steering issue. Pretty scary at 50 mph, but hopefully a cheap fix. Now I just gotta wait for it to get warm enough to drop the top.
Arcade auction in Kansas City, Sunday March 7th. They usually don't post there games until the night before or morning of the auctions.
I have been to a dozen or so. IMO, it is a good time with a good selection. The number of pins has been strong lately (8-12 each time) and not all crap titles.
I will be attending.

Congrats! Glad it worked out.
Post up some pics when you get it back.
I had to borrow a trailer to get them all home.
I had to borrow a trailer to get them all home.
I don't believe it. It rained that day and we all know how you don't go outside when it rains.

Why didn't you buy the No Fear?
You got a nice price on that machine too dude, you must have told him your name was Jim :laugh2:
On another note, I had a 50 foot crater in my backyard when I got home yesterday. I'm sure this 85 degree weather will end the day the pool is complete. :badmood:
pool and a pond...the pond may be better for you.
I dont think $2500 for an AF is a "deal".
Gotta be quick on the draw for CL pins...especially if someone doesn't know what they have.
Please post pics of the realtor's cans
Warning: I am going to CP's on the 15th & bringing a 4 pack of Trappist ale's to loosen me up but not make me a trouble maker.
Word.
I know a guy from Chicago that once told me he'd rather take a load in his mouth than eat Provel cheese. I guess it's not for everyone. :puke
I seriously may sell all of my machines because I am so sick of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- breaking
Nice pool, how many days out of the year do you get to use it?
I seriously may sell all of my machines because I am so sick of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- breaking & the LCD pin is really cool.
When you play on a small screen the ball seems to move too fast or unnatural but when the ball has to travel 3 feet on the screen it sure feels real.
---fudgesicle--- this thing its all I think about, well that & the Realtor
Chuck has a nice SWDE?
---fudgesicle---!
Dude buy it, then sell it to me when you want it gone.
Saturday me and the wifey will either be going to Fast Eddies or a winery in Carlyle so no pinball shopping will done that day ;D
---fudgesicle--- yea its broke already. And I cant find the replacement part anywhere online. I've tried Pinball Life, Marco, Bay Area....etc. It seems to be a more obscure part.
Football?
Is the realtor a cheerleader?
&?
I ended up getting drunk while grilling up dinner & then never left the house until Monday ;D
Don't get much more "St. Louis" than that.
Stay classy, midwesterner.
Chuck has a Tron?
EDIT: what kind of bunghole drinks miller light?
I was through STL last week on my way home from Terre Haute, Indiana. A local liqour store had one or two flavors of Schlafly, but alas, no oatmeal stout, my favorite flavor.Couldn't say...I'll defer that query to Uncle Bubbles (Flake).
I know Schlafly gets to Columbia, but I don't recal seeing it in KC.
www.cppinball.com (http://www.cppinball.com)
It's a bit north of STL but it's by far the most complete arcade around here and it's only $10.
BTW - not certain but I think shlafly doesn't get much farther than Columbia. Not sure why no oatmeal stout. Prob just not stocking it at that store.
Not sure when I'll get back there....but WTF is Magic Girl? The link you provided doesnt have much info? Your not trying to buy one of these are you? I could even imagine paying $16,000 for one machine....thats ludacrisp
Ok, thats it bitches, Aug 13th who wants to do shots & play TSPP?
I'm never having kids...
