PBJ = smegma

I had to look that up.

Now you're gonna force me to look it up.

If time permits, I'd like to try to get to CP in August, but lot's going on. I'm still on track for SA on the 1st.

PBJ = smegma

Why couldn't you have just said PBJ=dickgrease?

My son has had the shitz for 4 days...if I catch that bug, maybe I can drop 5 lbs. What, too much?

Hey man, I hit 308 when I lived in St. Louis.  I know what that midwest diet does to ya.   :-\

Dude thats a silly thing to say.  Most of the same foods are available in all parts of the country.  Its called self-control.  Clearly you had none when you lived here.  Just because you decided to sack up when you moved to TX doesnt mean TX has healthier food.  I've been to TX more than enough to know there are plenty of fat asses walking around down there.

The midwest?  Forget it.  It's all fried with a side of potatoes.

Well I'm just going to have to disagree with that statement.  There are plenty of healthy options in most any place around here.....except for white castle......

PBJ dont vag out on me like that............

"Pretty sure pinballwizard is that dude that got up in my face at the St. Louis Super Auction and chewed me out about not putting "in my opinion" at the end of my RGP posts.  Seek help."

If I saw you @ some expo I would say "hey d-bag lets play a round of Robotron or pinball so I can shut you up for a week on the forums" & we would have a good time.

Why is it you always portray the victim when you receive insults & when you make them?

You need to delete Dr Phill off your Tivo.

REMINDER -- Super Auctions saturday at 10am

I know I will have a coaches meeting for my boy's peewee football team sometime that weekend...hopefully the stars will line up...at least for part of the auction.

I have the green light for Super Auctions saturday. Looking for a touchmaster upgrade, a decent cheap pinball, or maybe an arcade cabinet if the deal is sweet enough.

This just in: the next auction will be Oct 10...earlier than normal. Can't see in my crystal ball if I'll be attending that one yet. Depends on my boy's football schedule that isn't released until Labor Day.

I have 3 broken pins & a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- CRT to fix.................. no SA for me :-(

One of you guys should buy a sit down racer, when you tire of it I will buy it & we can just float it around from STL-BYOAC member to member.

Thats actually not a bad idea.  I wont be able to make the auction since I'll be at the lake but LL could buy one.  BTW LL - If you spot something cool give me a call so you can bid on it for me :)

Yeah, just drop off your credit card before you take off and I'll get us all kinds of goodies. I'll also have to throw a u-haul rental on your card.

To be honest, for the first time in a few years, I am there more to play than to buy. That being said, if a gem pops up, I would be forced to consider. Maybe I can make the wife happy and bring home a TOM. One in good shape for under $2K, I'd probably crash my truck from beating off all the way home.

The problem with those damned cockits is that they are the last thing to go. You gotta hang out til 5pm. Then again, from what I hear, that is where you can score some really cheap ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---. Guys buy games just for the boards and sell off the cabinets for peanuts in the parking lot.

sorry I missed you yoga. Did you find any trasures? I didn't hang out too long. Pinball was virtually nonexistant. The only thing worthwhile one was Jackbot. There was a Viper Night Driving. Chuck said it needed a display and a flipper and who knows what else.

But I did get a line on a TOM. I'm gonna try to go see it next weekend. So it wasn't a complete waste. Thought about upgrading the touchmaster, but if I decide to pull the trigger on TOM, I'm gonna need to keep my powder dry.

I know they had a Hydro Thunder, but I was so spanky about stumbling onto a possible TOM that I just left before soaking up any useful knowledge.

You pay a "buyers premium" of like 12% or something and also sales tax which is approx. 7%.  I think when I'm in the bidding process I just think of adding 20% to whatever my final bid price is.

Based on what I've seen from other racers at these auctions I would guess they needed some work, most do from what I've seen.

I did take a look at Hydro Thunder and it was pretty close to needing a cap kit. I played that Ocean Hunter and it rebooted itself about 5 minutes into the game. That Indy Heat was interesting. It looked (and played) like Ivan Stewart Off Road. First time I've seen that. Terminator 2 was pretty jacked up. It needed a cap kit and was stuck in some kind of test mode...although that may be easy to fix for someone who knows what the hell they are doing.

I am intimidated at the thought of buying a cockpit at SA. Number 1 is trying to load the damned thing. Then, there is just so much more surface area on the cabinet to be f'ed up. I still contend I'd like to mame one and try to salvage the driving controls and use it exclusively for driving games. But if a Hydro Thunder fell in my lap, that would have to stay original since mame is not up to the challenge.

Well, I'm tenatively scheduled to go see ToM sunday (2 hour drive each way)...unless I chicken out. But the wife is gung ho, so I don't have that barrier.

I have 3 broken pins & a ---Cleveland steamer--- CRT to fix.................. no SA for me :-(

One of you guys should buy a sit down racer, when you tire of it I will buy it & we can just float it around from STL-BYOAC member to member.

PBW, how goes the repairs? So you're down to what, one pin and that's it?

The only reason I am looking forward to winter is to have time to work on ES and do some tweaking to the MAME. Summer is tough and the fall is worse.

Once I pull the trigger on ToM, I will be pretty broke. So no new purchases in the forseable future for LL...maybe some bar stools if I manage to get a bonus this year.

Yeah, ---fudgesicle--- my life.

Well actually TFTC will be finished soon & then I can fix JP, plus the monitor on my arcade is doing fine now (for now) so I think I will regain my powers soon.

But once I get everything working I will take it apart to restore, rebuild, clean & etc...except TFTC of course.

I will be a very busy man the rest of the year thats for sure.

Then its time for next years projects  >:D those are insane & semi-secret for now

Bullitin  Tonight (friday) on channel 4 news at 10, they are supposed to have a story about some local pinball wizard that has 60 pins in his home. I will be TIVOing. http://www.kmov.com/

PBW:  Ahh, the secret project...now some nerd will be trying to go mission impossible on you to steal said plans.

I am thinking about trying to get my hands on a decent classic cabinet and putting in a 48/60 in one board with just a 4 way stick and 1 button. Can you disable games on those things? I am wanting to leave the classic 4 way games only on the menu. Then, remove my Ultimarcs from my mame and replace them with Happ Competions and remove the 4 ways from the menu. The Ultimarc 4/8 switchable is not a bad stick, but nobody but me can figure out how/when to switch it. Plus, The short throw gives me fits playing some games...specifically Robotron. I wish there was a nice way to make mame play nice with a 49 way. I've got 3 of them just laying around.

Just got done playing...new hs (811K). However, that smooth muthafucka makes Earthshaker seem all clunky. Wife already chipped the trunk, so there's that.

Dude I bought it from had a bad-ass future pinball cabinet. I'm thinking of building one now. I figure just under a grand...less than most pinballs. Hard to describe, I'll have to find the link and post it.

Pretty sure its that same guy PBW.  How much was he asking for his STNNG.  If I ever spend more than $2K+ on a machine it will probably be that one.

I think LL should pave the way on a Future Pinball cabinet.  And dont forget to document the process thoroughly on this forum!

Same dude. I didn't get a chance to play it, my son did. I did look it over and it is bad-ass. I'm trying to get some pointers without being to much of a pain in the ass. I will post a thread in project anouncements once I begin. I may have to start this project covertly so the wife doesn't realize I'm pissing away money until it's too late to turn back.
That being said, I am in the market for a dual core pc...if anybody is looking to unload one.

Did not see the STTNG, I think it is gone. Rob siad he was unloading just what he needed to buy a pickup. He had a G'n'R I really wanted to play, but he said it's on the fritz. He had a Star Wars DE in his shop that was nearly finished. My son decided he wanted the IJ, wife warmed up to TZ, and I was blown away by CV.

Why not just switch out your sticks to a couple 8-way happs and add a dedicated 4-way.  You have the room and it would be much less expensive than adding a whole other cabinet.  Those 48/60-1's are not cheap.  Plus you'll need a monitor, blah, blah.

Not sure where I would put it. Mine isn't laid out the same as yours. Not to mention that the cp would have to be completely disassembled, drilled out and reassembled. Not impossible, but time consuming. And that is assuming that I don't screw anything up. If I had to buy new lexan and a new overlay, hell, your approaching the cost of a cabinet.

Then again, that is the cheap solution...and I'm all about cheap.

with my current configuration, I'm kinda bound to 2 pinballs. I'll explore the possibility of adding a 4-way stick...if I can find a suitable place on the cp. If I go that route, I will definitely consider building a mini-pin.

I'm looking really forward to making a run at the hs on Chuck's ToM. Of course, I need to practice a few weeks, but I've already got the top 2 on mine.

Just got done playing...new hs (811K).

Are you sure you meant 811K?  Not to give you a hard time, but I found a TOM on route and after about $5 I think I put up a score of like 300 million.  The high score was something like 1 billion.

Nice grab on TOM.  I want one, but the few I find local to me always seem to be collector quality.  I want a player.

Sorry, 811M. Yeah, I haven't seen anything less than $2900, local or not. Mine is in fine shape, but I wouldn't catagorize it as collectors. Hell, my wife already took a chunk out of the trunk.

It's one of those games that if you get on a roll on one ball, you can really rack it up. I got 2 free balls on one ball last night. I still don't have a solid grasp on the rules yet, need to work on that.
