My wife was given a stack of these at GameStop for being "the coolest girlfriend ever" and buying all those Amiibos.

Trimmed off that EA logo and it fit perfectly into a poster frame I dumpster dove last year...

Nothing but pure class around here.

Nah that's still pretty classy compared to me.  I've got so much Mario everywhere that people probably think it's a kids room.  Mind you they are right, a 36 year old kid, but still.

Well, ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---... I broke down and bought one more present for "me"...  After seeing Star Wars in the new IMAX, I needed to up my HT game so I started with 2 18" subs that I am building enclosures for (sealed) and driving with a 6000w amp (only about 2200 real watts RMS though).  Then I will build all new speakers for the rest of the system, and either find a good receiver or go with a decent preamp processor and component amplifier... What started as a $500 subwoofer upgrade turned into insanity, but that's how us DIY folks roll I guess... I'm just hoping my neighbors don't complain when I'm dropping 110 db 16hz notes watching Interstellar.. I mean the ones a few blocks over..

Today I hit Lowes to get the stuff to move all my gear into the other room, starting with two more 20 amp breakers and some conduit so I can feed two more 20a outlets to the shelf I will put the gear on.  Hope it's enough...

It may not be arcade cabs, but I'm making sawdust today, lots of it... cut up two full sheets of MDF so far.  Kinda feels good to be back in the shop after such a long hiatus..

Love Christmas break. I spent the day beating the original Phantasy Star on my Wii.

It's Super Mario Maker for me.  The delivery system sucks though.  Warp pipes I guess are delivered dead last, which makes no sense as they are the most important item aside from mushrooms and Mario himself.  *grumble*

Mel Brooks recently said they were working on a script for a sequel.
Gotta cash in while the opportunity is there.

The only thing he said about it was that it was tentatively called "The Search for More Money", but that was a joke from the original one.
I'm guessing not a lot has been done.

Did you actually beat it?  I had that bastard on SMS and always gave up on that dungeon with all the trap doors.

I beat the game back in '90 on the SMS. A good friend of mine in high school mapped out every dungeon on graph paper and lent them to me when I played it through.

I bought it via the Virtual Console years ago and played through half of it. On Monday, I was goofing around and reloaded it, used my phone to find some online maps, and used them to finish off the game.

Eh.... I don't have much hope for that one.  Do a google search for Space Balls the animated series.  Yes it exists and yes it's so lame that it was buried soon after release.  The amount of love I have for Mel Brooks is immeasurable, but I think he's too old to write a decent script these days.  Also no John Candy.  The logical replacement would have been Chris Farley, but he's dead too.  Is Will Sasso dead yet?  Has he learned to be funny?

Mogs only live like 14 years.  Every human year is like 7 years to them.
Lonestar gets a new one from the shelter every so often.

Honestly I don't have a lot of hope for it either, but imagine all the new stuff from the prequels they could parody.

Half the cast is dead... joan rivers, john candy, dom deloiuse, heck even mel brooks is half gone. I watched the spaceballs cartoon when it was on netflix and I was expecting something for the kids. It was terrible, but in a way that added to the entertainment. I give it just enough stars to watch it.

Yeah and don't forget that Rick Moranis is officially retired from acting.  He made a metric ton off of those Honey I Shrunk the Kids films and decided to no longer act soon after.  So the star of the show won't return either.
