I'd say skip the obvious and do not use the "cade" extension or plays on the MAME thing.

I like the victorian type, I would mix it with a steam-punk setting. A bit like the game "Chaos Engine" on the Amiga, that kind of thing.
As for a name something like "Steam Fusion" or something like that - it sounds like it could be a real game named like that, yet is not too specific for a multi game machine.

I too am getting REALLY tired of the 'CADE' names. It makes no sense really. You're building a machine that plays thousands of oldie video games.

Let's say someone walked into your house and saw it. What would be a cool name they would understand but still has "zing" to it?

How about "Peacey Innuhbox"
 ;D
Just kidding.

"Joystickers" ?
"Canniballistic!"   heheh
"Demon-Seed!"
"Back to the Suture"
(i am making no sense! GAH!)
"Like Totally Rad Games"
"Wicked Games Dude"
"Wicked Games" (without the Dude)
"My-Mame-y Vice" (featuring Crocket and Tubs!)
(can you tell I am thinking "80's"?)
"Totally Awesome!"
"Home Amusement Center --TO THE MAX!"
"Victorian's Secret: (we had no video games in our time!)"

ok ill stop now...

Hey
Yea I know it is very tough to decide on a name....check out this marquee I made...kinda sadistic. ehehehe

Keep the thoughts coming........since were talking retro how about

m"A"me Team :)

how about Mulletcade..ehehehe

The good news is I have lots of time to decide..I just wanted to get started on some artwork for it.......I did see a nice multi character one at www.classicarcadegrafix.com..says ArcadeClassics..and is in red and black..looks kinda neat....

I do not know maybe one of the really good artists here like SNAAKE or something could help out.......there great at designing things!

I know that many BYOAC members make their own art however it seems no one shares them much.......even if people are not interested maybe we could have a members section to look at others artwork for ideas/reviews???

Anyways thanks for the comments, please keep them coming!

thx
Jim

Drawing vectors is easiest with Flash.

Most common professional tool would be Illustrator.

Both have 30 day un-restricted trial versions.
