The gym can be a good idea on "stat days" (check the moon phases at kol.coldfront.net), but you lose out on questing to open new areas, and meat from you adventures. The must-have items (that aren't too expensive) are:

Clockwork maid (made from a meat engine and a frilly skirt) to get extra adventures each day.
Bartender in a box (make drinks without spending adventures)
Chef in a box (Cook food without spending adventures)
Upgrading your campground (Pagoda, house, maybe Evil Golden Arches)
I'd stay out of PvP for a bit

Get yourself a familiar (and it's associated +5lb item). I like the cocoabo, personally, but a leprechaun can be an asset when you're meat farming.

Go to your profession trainer and make sure to buy the necessary skills.

ok then. i can't afford those items though. bartender in a box is 28,000 meat!? wth, i only have 281 meat! LOL

well we might as well spend the money on stat boosts. but yeah contributing cash isnt really worth it right now, i think it would be more benficial if u see a good deal on a good food/drink grab some extra throw them in the stash. or just give your would be donation to a new person startin up in the clan

BTW would someone like to be in charge of stat buying? basicly just gotta remember on every stat day to buy that stat. since im not on everyday it would be good to have someone doing this regularly

Also pick out a good outfit. Try to wear the most powerful stuff you can at your level. Since it will help you to not get beat up too often.
There are plently of clothes/hats and weapons in the stash.

don't buy them. Make them yourself.
There are plenty of items in the stash to help you get started. and if you need help with an item let me know.

This link will help you when you're making things. When you're at a low levels it pays to make everything. (unless you find a ten meat sale in the mall (after you're level 5))

*smack* I passed the torch a while ago after I got to the "end" of the game and started playing less. I retain all the powers in the background just in case someone goes all ChadTower on us =P, but I created an el presidente class that has all the same rights and control... Well...This seems like a good time to remind people of the DotSC yahoogroup I started up for just such a purpose. <And no...I won't be packing up my toys and going home with it>

All current members of DOTS are welcome to join. But please send me you're ingame name when you send your application to the group. It's not a high traffic board <at this point anyways> but it's probably a good way to communicate and plan stuff 'privatly' between members of the clan.

I paid x amount of meat for the dos board we were using before. You may know that the site that hosted the space had, oddly enough, an alleged DOS attack.

The space has since been provided back to me, but I have been left on my own to set up the board. Which obviously hasn't gone well so far.

I hope to contact the person who is hosting the space and talk business to set it back up. We will see how that goes.

OK, I'm looking into it. It seems that server 9 (where the boards are hosted) is a new server and they're having a few problems with it. I currently cannot get into the Admin CP to fix the permissions on the boards =/

Yayyyyyyy...... I finally got it. Only four weeks of pvp for food.

ZBart is made significantly more difficult to attack by his house.

You are forced to stop and smell the pretty flowers before attacking. It takes some of the contempt out of you, and makes you feel less Moxious. Wuss.

Your opponent's Spooky Scarecrow glares at you menacingly. It makes you a little nervous, and your muscles get a little shaky.

There's some barbed-wire fence around your opponent's campsite. You manage to slide under it without injury.

Your opponent's white picket fence looks so idyllic that it sort of puts you out of the mood for fighting. Sigh.

Your opponent's campsite has really good Feng Shui. Your Mysticality doesn't work as well here as it usually does.

You call ZBart out, and your battle begins...

You attempt to Burninate ZBart. Your magical gambit is successful! POW!

You challenge your opponent to a game of Telekinetic Ping-Pong -- raw Mysticality vs. raw Mysticality. You win the round! ZAP!

hmm interesting they went up, i knew they would eventually. I bought mine for 2 mill when they first came out, theyre necessary for the best drinks in the game and as more people join and want them the prices will only keep raising

edit: i convinced myself to buy a few TPS lol, figure they will sell for more someday

yeah TPS = tiny plastic sword. you can only get them from the crimbo stockings that came out for Xmas and you cant get them from anything else. theyre used to make the best drinks in the game and theyre reusable
