Anyway, I'm trying to stock up on meat and consumables, I'll ascend my multi asap to reap the benefits of the mall.

That is pretty much what I am doing now. stocking up on Food and drinks.
spent about 1 mill today on food and drinks. Also stockpiling buff items (moxie weed, bar bells, magicalness in can etc).
No using multies. Just one account.

Last I heard it's 30 things per day.

1000 meat = one "thing"

Any combination of 30 will work.
15 food and 15k meat
30k meat
10 drink, 10k meat, 10 useless trinkets.... whatever.

I don't think I'll be ready to ascend right at the beginning. I'm flat broke since I've been trophy hunting. (some cost quite a bit to aquire (time or meat)) I need to save up a bit before I make the leap.

I'm not really looking to "maximize the market" or powergame my way through. I'm just playing the game my way. I think I'll pick up a few more trophies first. I'd like to get the failure to communicate and possibly the rest of the herb brownies I need before I acsend.

I belive that for the first 1000 adventures you will not have access to the mall, and you can receive items from other players. So I don't think meat would be the thing you want to keep.

The Maritini is a moxie drink. I thik the mysticality drinks are whiskey based. (but could be wrong)

can you make pastamancer type foods after ascending to something else. I was planing on going to pastamancer next if I can still make saucerer type foods that would rock.

If you decide to keep your Advanced Saucecrafting skill. then you should still be able to cook.

I'm curious. Why is meat bad to hold on to? Is it just bad if you plan to ascend or in general when it goes public? I just had a 1M meat 10-meat sale and am sitting on another 2M meat. Should I stockpile or blow it on another larger 10-meat sale? Of course, I could contribute that to the clan but do we even keep our clans?

Nothing wrong with keeping meat. The only thing is that you will not be able to use it for the first 1k turns.
You could use the meat to buy food and drinks so that you can get a lot of adventures and be able to level out of the 1k limit in a few days. If you can do 250 Adv per day, in four days you should be back in business. Remeber that you will be back to 14 drunkness.

I think you can stay in your clan. but can't lead it. Also you cannot use the clan stash. (not sure about the gym).

I'm also wondering what kind of market run there will be (of course that's what makes this game fun)

With Chow Meins -
 You could probably get 60 turns a day, with TPS drinks, probably another 70ish. Plus, 45 or so for rollover...
60+45+70 = 175
Intially get 40/80, so approximately 10 days until you are out of ronin, if you can subsidize it.

Ascension is going to drop everything except for the best foods and the best drinks. Getting out of Ronin and ascending as quick as possible will be the main 2 goals of every "power gamer." Lots of the quests are wastes of time. I believe for the ascensions in which you don't keep an extra skill, I'll take a seal clubber. They are the most powerful levelers in the game. Unfortunately, they don't have a particular skill worth keeping.

Except that so far there is no word on a cap for how many times you can ascend.  I've seen references to the fact that you may be able to do it multiple times, taking a new skill each time.

Actually, there is not yet word on a cap, however, it has already been implemented as I said earlier,
first 3 ascensions, 1 skill each time
then, every three ascensions, you get one new skill.

I've been thinking about getting a game bot or two and running them in games.

I figure since I'm not the most meat rich player, we could make it Clan sponsored like aflubadubdub and RoF did.
