That's incorrect. Eepeep, who was part of this, had karma in the 8 figures. He was the ONLY one in 8 figures. I did the manual work.

Consider it lame all you want, we left WAY MORE than we took. Blame us if you want too, but it wasn't our poor leadership that led to us leaving. Hell, we tried to help the leaders and the leaders simply aren't up to the task. That's how it works. You join a clan, you experience its ways. If you don't like its ways, you try and help to improve its ways. If you do that and you're still unsatisfied, you leave. We did all of those things.

I don't necessarily disaggree with Chad. Not happy that it happened. but I understand their reasons. And I agree that eepeep was biggest contrinuter.
I kind of wish the Clan was more active. (tons of players that don't play too often).

One of the things we had been pushing for was the removal of members who no longer play. That probably accounts for as many as a third and maybe half DOTS. Those members dilute clan resources, drive up the cost of acquisitions and add nothing. I tried for a while to get a notice sent that inactive members would be removed.

I also wanted to be involved in Clan Warfare. DOTS is not active in Clan Warfare.

I think rampy and Seph need to give up clan leadership. Niether of them play the game any more. I don't want to be leader, I'll be ascending as soon as ascenion rolls around. However, Brax and Lokki are both very active, and either one would be a great leader.

yeah i really dont have time for the game right now. but really once you hit 15+ theres not much left to do in the game anyway. the only point of clans is to help each other out when youre noobs which we all did. once you become rich and powerful dumping money into pointless clan wars is really all you can do. there are people with billions invested into their armys we would have no chance keeping goodies, if you noticed any time we attacked and eventually built up some goodies some large clan just comes in and owns us, theres no strategy to it at all, even less than PvP

i just dont see what another clan is going to offer thats better, the stat boosts suck anyway once youre high level, a full 15 boosts is not even a single full stat point at my level.

anyway, i dont see the problem really, eepeep had full control over everything if he needed to do all these things he couldve so i dunno. whatever

Well, since some folks agree with me, I'll mention our clan:

Zero In July

We have two members (guess who), both of us fairly high level. We are already active in clan warfare, already have a large bank of supplies, and have all of the clan amenities.

I won't ask anyone to join but we will certainly consider any applications.

Did I mentioned I was the second most powerful in the clan? Bit curious how you went up so quickly sort of spending Millions Don't see an easy way.....
Also starting farming for rares so I don't as much points as I used to.

I'm also looking forward to ascencion. But will probably not ascend immediatly.

Not really sure I agree plenty of stuff to do past level 15. Specially lately where there have been a lot of changes.

I am actually more interested in the depth of the economy in the game. It is amazing how crazy and interactive the economy is. Slight changes in the game result in wild buying and selling. I made almost 2 million meat when the lucky eggs were introduced. Gotta a couple cars, and a couple hermits, and people went crazy and spent like 500K to 1 mil for that crap. Re-friggin-diculous. It is fun to make "investments" to try and play the economy. If we were a more established clan, we could be the iocaine powder of the Mall (IP is famous for their pvp ability - they got a level one player onto the leader boards at spot 2, just below boozer)

I just created my character...didn't realize there was a turn limit. i only made level 2. How long do you have to wait to play again?

This is fun. reminds me of playing Wizardry on my Commodore 64 long long ago.....

the game resets every night around 1130-12midnight EST. if you skim through this massive thread you will find all the newbie info you should need. since a lot of us started at the same time and had the same questions

Oh, hadn't noticed this until now. This is untrue. Eepeep did NOT have full control. He had control over applications and stats. He was NOT given the type of control that would have allowed the type of changes people have been and are still asking for in DOTS. Don't make false statements about this situation. You could inadvertantly trigger an interstellar war.

as far as i knew, he had full control over everything. I had the same control from rampy, before i actually took over completely. but the only thing i gained i think was the ability to look at applications or whatever but i think eepeep did have that. what are these changes people are asking for? has anyone PMed me or asked me anything?? no.

the only thing i see this is over really, is you wanting to kick people out who havent played in a certain amount of time, so stat boosts cost less. seriously who gives a crap about stat boosts theyre only good for newbies. i think being a group of friends/clan members should come before saving a couple thousand meat per person we kick out who hasnt played in a while

So, you follow the statement that no one PMed you by mentioning an offline conversation we had about potential changes. That would be equivalent to a PM. Earlier in this thread Lokki mentioned having requested increased clan warfare. I know Eeepeep discussed some changes with you.

Look, we weren't happy with the clan, unhappy enough that we left. Others are expressing unhappiness in this very thread. Keep saying what you want, the truth is here in this thread.

Who said everyone here has to be in the same clan, or even friendly within the game? That doesn't sound very interesting to me.

and magnet, i took a leave 3 weeks ago for personal reasons and i gave command over to eepeep, who decided to leave 2 days ago. so things are still being sorted out right now but there are no major problems really. other than the ripples chad left with his rude departure of the clan

I've gotten my question answered 2 weeks in a row on the Jick and Skully show. It is actually interesting. I enjoy it because everything they say tends to do things to the economy. They spend a little too much time bullshitting, and answering retarded questions from the same people, but it does make for interesting banter.

I manged to get toast in PVP because someone was nice enough to set up a "beat-up" doll that only had toast.

I could do that for the clan with one of my multis. He has taken a few vacations, drank a few canadians, etc. He has no papayas, and he is never intoxicated. Unfortunately I do have crap at my campground, but not a meat golem, luckily. He is level 12ish, but somewusiness potion and a crappy outfit would help.

Anyway, let me know if you want me to set something up for a day, and I'll display his name via the chat pane in the clan.

The gym can be a good idea on "stat days" (check the moon phases at kol.coldfront.net), but you lose out on questing to open new areas, and meat from you adventures. The must-have items (that aren't too expensive) are:

Clockwork maid (made from a meat engine and a frilly skirt) to get extra adventures each day.
Bartender in a box (make drinks without spending adventures)
Chef in a box (Cook food without spending adventures)
Upgrading your campground (Pagoda, house, maybe Evil Golden Arches)
I'd stay out of PvP for a bit

Get yourself a familiar (and it's associated +5lb item). I like the cocoabo, personally, but a leprechaun can be an asset when you're meat farming.

Go to your profession trainer and make sure to buy the necessary skills.
