When people die, you say nice things about them (unless they are Pol Pot or something).

I once watched a new story during the last days of Pol Pot. The guy was actually deeply remorseful for who he was during his life. It was a bit shocking that such a vile villain was actually so human before he died.

They said the same thing about kind old uncle Hitler.  Get real. ::)
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

My only beef is how people will take somebody famous who dies from an OD and comment,  "how sad".   At the same time, this happens to people who are not so famous every day.   Similarly, the NYPD goes on a spree to track down the dealers but you don't see them doing this for the not so famous people that die from an OD.  Just sayin'

It was equally funny to watch you start 5 threads crying about your negative rep.
Whaah
 :lol

It was at least seven. Maybe eight. Don't sell me short - I've got a reputation to uphold. <Insert generic X2 insult about toe stabbing or mom's basement or whatever here>

It's unfortunate that it happened. But it happens every day, and just because this guy was an actor it does not mean (in my opinion) that it was any worse than any other case of someone overdosing. Or that because he was an actor that the drug dealers are somehow MORE responsible in this case.

I do not do drugs, so I understand that I just "don't understand addiction." But like everyone else in this world, my entire life has been flooded with anti-drug messages. Here's one that comes to mind: Winners Don't Do Drugs. All in all, it comes down to a choice. Some people make that choice and live with it, and others...

I have lived through hardship without resorting to substance abuse. I don't know why I should hold anyone to a lesser standard.

My feelings about the guy remain unchanged, but it was shocking to see. It was more the WTF of seeing any murderous dictator remorseful of what they did. You just don't see that. Ever.

Exactly.  And whats up with the LAPD escorting celebrities 10 feet to their car lately?

If you ever roll in LA, the paparazzi make life dangerous for all people, celebrities or not, so the LAPD are trying to prevent something really tragic from happening.  It appears like celebrities are getting a royal treatment, which they are, but high level it can get really dangerous.  The right shot can make a paparazzi a millionaire overnight.
