in no order:

Nine Inch Nails -  Pretty Hate Machine
Johnny Cash - Live from Folsom Prison
Bush - Razerblade Suitcase
Pantera - Vulgar Display of power (I want to say Great Southern Trendkill ,if only for Dimebag Darrell's solo on floods, but VDoP is better)
Maroon 5 - Songs about Jane

I listen to far too many types of music from far too many eras to nail down a true top 5 favorites, so this is what Im feelin, right now.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Tough one, since I am limited to only the albums I have owned. Thus, I will give you MY favorite albums that I feel are great from beginning to end. These will always have a special place my music rotation, and all of them I can listen to over and over.

Beatles: Abbey Road - In my opinion, the single greatest Album 'cover to cover' ever recorded.
Ben Folds Five: Whatever and Ever Amen (though their self-titled is nearly as good)
Tenacious D: Self Titled
Weezer: Blue Album (self titled)
Disturbed: The Sickness

Honorable Mention:
No Doubt: Tragic Kingdom
Primus: Suck on this (Although I was a huge fan, this is their 'tightest' album. It's the only one that I don't skip songs on. Maybe it's because it was live and thus the progressive crap isn't on it.)
Mighty Mighty Bosstones: Live From the Middle East (I just love the live aspect of this album. Makes me feel like I am there.)
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire soundtrack. Most of you will say "Shadows of the Empire?? It has a soundtrack??" Yes, the book indeed had a soundtrack made by someone other than John Williams. And yes, the music is frikkin awesome.

No particular order:
1.  Beatles - Abbey Road
2.  Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
3.  Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
4.  Van Halen - 1984
5.  Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

I would have said one of the Doors albums or Marley, but I refuse to use greatest hits collections in this.

This is an impossible question but here goes (in no particular order and without boxed sets or greatest hits or multiple albums by the same band):

Fantastic Planet - Failure
Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin (any of their albums, actually)
OK Computer - Radiohead (any of their albums, actually)
Give Up - The Postal Service
Binaural - Pearl Jam

Difficult question. If it's a "desert island" type of situation, then I would want something that covered all of my moods.

In no particular order

Yngwie J Malmsteen - Rising Force (excellent guitar virtuoso with classical influence)

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (double "concept" album of sheer progressive awesomeness)

Megadeth - Rust in Peace (my favorite metal album ever thanks to Marty Friedman)

Beatles - White Album (Abbey Road is awesome, but there's more moods covered with this one)

She and Him - Vol 1 (if I'm alone on an island, I need a woman around. Zooey will do ;D )

White Album is good, but has some dead spots. Revolution 9 being the motherload of dead spots of any album ever.

Off the top of my head:

1) Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
2) Joe Satriani - Time Machine (specifically, disc 2)
3) Dream Theater - Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence
4) Information Society - Peace & Love, Inc.
5) Metallica - Master of Puppets

Like many have said before, this list is highly subject to change dependent on my mood and listening environment.

Sure, but there are enough good ones on there to make up for it. (I NEVER play Revolution 9)

 (I NEVER play Revolution 9)

And by my definition of a great album, that strikes White Album off the list. I have tons of excellent albums, but I disqualified any albums that had a 'skip song'.

In no order, and mostly old because music isn't as important to me as it was in my youth. Didn't pick these based on any musical critic reasons, just were great albums I listened a hell of a lot to:

"Appetite for Destruction" - Guns n Roses
"Violator" - Depeche Mode
"Downward Spiral" - Nine Inch Nails
"Disintegration" - The Cure

a bunch more are tied for 5th place, so I'll mention an obscure synthy album for its positive vibes and dancey rhythms:

"Welcome to Earth" - Apoptygma Berzerk
NO MORE!!

Tough. These aren't in any order due to awesomeness. Assuming a desert island situation where I'm not necessarily fighting for survival constantly.

Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill (Need some party Music)
Daft Punk - ALIVE 2007 (Need some dance Music ((I guess thats just more party music)))
RUSH - A tie between Signals and Moving Pictures (Need music to rock to, also need music to make you think)
Electric Six - Fire (Need some comedy)
Johnny Cash - Live at San Quentin (Need some general bad-assery)

Im sure if I was to write this list next week it would be completely different though...

1 Slayer - Reign in Blood
2 Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast
3 Metallica - Master of Puppets
4 Anthrax - Among The Living
5 DRI - Four Of A Kind

There are probably much better albums creatively, but if I was stuck listening to just these 5 CD's for the next 10 years, I wouldn't complain.

That is the problem with only having a top 5...If I had to get exiled to an island I would insist on at least 50 or id have missed these two great albums :(

1. Bob Marley - Legend
2. Jimmy Buffett - Songs You Know by Heart
3. Sublime - Sublime
4. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic
5. Nirvana - In Utero

I could live on an island alone and not go nuts for at least a few years with that mix.
You probably remember me from such films as `The Revenge of Abe Lincoln' and `The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West'

My all time top 5....
In chronological order of release -

Tangerine Dream - "Sorcerer" (Original Soundtrack) - 1977
Art of Noise - "Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise" 1984
Eric B & Rakim - "Follow the Leader" 1988
Soul Coughing - "Ruby Vroom" 1994
Tool - "Ænema" 1996

Those 5 could hold me over for a long while if they had to.

If I could only ever own five albums from here to the end of time, it'd be...

Motorhead - No Remorse
Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Metallica - Master of Puppets

Only five is a real pinch, though... I'd really want to be adding in

Ministry - Psalm 69
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Rush - 2112
Slayer - Reign In Blood

I laugh, though... I finally managed to replace my old Dayglo Abortions albums today; been looking to replace those for close to fifteen years...

The list always varies, but the very first album that comes to mind anytime someone asks is Yes, by Morphine. That, i think will always top the list.

Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here (the song, as I feel this song alone is better than most albums by any artist as a whole)
No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom

Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here (the song, as I feel this song alone is better than most albums by any artist as a whole)
No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Butthole Surfers - Independent Worm Saloon
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

I just lent that butthole surfers album to a friend. I figured he'd like it. He LOVES it (",)  . I told him it's  rollercoaster ranging from 'Tiny TIm' to 'Tool'  ;D

Carcass - Heartwork
King Diamond - Abigail
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Death - The Sound of Perseverance
Anthrax - The Persistence of Time

If I came up with a list tomorrow it might change. It was hard to choose just one Death album....

That's two for Abigail. I considered putting Mercyful Fate's Melissa.

Nice to see some Anthrax PoT love. :)

I love Dio era Sabbath, figured I was in a very small minority. Neon Knights is my favorite Sabbath song, even though its about as cheesy as a 80's sword and sorcery movie!  ;)

Guess I'll jump in this...in no particular order.

Out of the Blue - Electric Light Orchestra
Who's Next - The Who
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill - Lauryn Hill
Stankonia - Outkast
Art of Storytelling - Slick Rick
