I'll be traveling to Raleigh NC next week for work for nearly two weeks (I'm from Australia).

With the Australian dollar doing pretty well, I was wondering what suppliers (online or local to the area) I should check out for good prices and/or good products for my future arcade projects.

I can get the usual stuff at home like generic arcade buttons, Sanwa/Zippy joysticks, IPAC2/IPAC4, etc... but I'm interested in:

  • Switchable joysticks. I assume the MagStick Plus is only available from Ultimarcs online store?
  • Alternative kb encoders (KB16, KeyWiz, etc)
  • Gears (cogs?) typically found in spinners or trackballs. I'm going to be doing several mouse hack spinners and I'm yet to come across a reliable source of a suitable gear (the right amount of teeth, etc).
  • Specifically looking for 'alien green' arcade buttons, not 'forest green' or 'emerald green' that I seem to source over here. I can't match my T-molding!
  • Any 'accessories' to add bling to arcade projects such as the tags sold by Happ,  LED controllers, illuminated pushbuttons, metal joystick or button skirts, fancy microswitches or leaf switches, those pushbuttons that people here seem to put washers on, etc.
  • Classic PCBs :)
I'm also interested in acquiring pinball parts for a 'build your own' pinball project at a later date.

Thanks for any tips!

Bump.

Do I assume that nobody lives near NC, or nobody shops from US distributors of arcade parts?   ;D

  • Worthless button pusher!
Or that there are no arcade parts shops on every corner in the USA ?

 ;)

EDIT: I missed the online portion of the request ... silly me ...
