I think before some people will consider anything you are selling that they will want some of the issues in your previous thread answered.

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=74380.0

On a side note, you may want to reconsider your price on the Apache spinner in light of the recent push/pull spinner that was announced recently at a lower price point than what you are asking.  Just a suggestion.

I think you need to state it publicly.  If we agree to price, will you honor that? What happened previously?  Several people have said you wouldn't honor a deal so I am not comfortable entering into an agreement without knowing first.

On another side note, probably no reason to write bump at the end of a statement.  The statement will cause the thread to be bumped anyway.   :dunno

I've been missing quite a few PMs

Doesn't quite compute ... if missing PMs is the problem, then asking people to PM you is about as bright as asking how much the free shipping costs ...

Ahh but there is a difference, when you say to someone "it's yours" I guess......... I expected........ you to sell it to me.  :dunno

What would you think?

I strongly believe this is exactly what the feedback system is designed for.

To let all the other members of BYOAC community know how you handle, or choose not to handle transactions.

The feedback is meant for completed transactions. Not as retaliation OR for bitching you didn't get to buy something.

Nevertheless, once you have quoted a price and given your shipping info for them to send you a money order, the deal is officially in place. Giving payment info to more than one person when the payment method is NONREFUNDABLE money orders is NOT cool. If you were doing paypal, then I would be more understanding because things would be instant and you could just deny whoever didn't pay first.

The conversation about telling more than one person to send money is why I backed out on mine.

hi,

you might think that the previous dealings need to be aired out privately, but as someone who is interested in some of your stuff, i need it clarified publically.

there are obviously issues with some of the previous dealings you have had on the last thread and you need to clarify them.  no flames, no attacks.  we have heard the other side of the story but have not heard you side.

from where i stand, as a potential buyer, you need to set our minds straight that this is not a scam.

have you committed the yoke to anyone?  if so, i need to know.

Finished:  Stargate (only 'cause I got it that way)

Kremmit, read above.  I think I explained that as well.

Right.  You "explained it in the other thread", and you "don't like drama".

Don't like problems?  Stop CREATING them.  Your "explanations" are incomplete BS about your "PM me" method of apparently screwing buyers over based on better offers from others and/or your inability to handle your "flood" of PM's - your only method you're dealing with people.

Buyers, think about it - he can't handle the PM's he's getting, he can't remember what he said to specific people, and he can't FIND PM's.  The only person who can delete your PM is the person to whom it was sent.  Armax is flat out lying, unless he defies logic and proves how all the people he's had shady dealings with already are somehow in the wrong because of his (Armax) own actions.

You're a --cream-filled twinkie--.  Thanks for such a convincing case about it.

Yet you still try to buy stuff his stuff that nobody has even seen a picture of.  Read through this thread and the other other Mission linked through before trying to through your money at him.

I dunno...dudes got 450 posts and has been registered since 2004.  I am pretty confident he'd have been outed as Harpal long before now.  I am REALLY confused by this guy.  He's not some newb.  I just don't get why he hasn't posted some freakin' pix of his items or why he continually pisses off his potential customers?!?  I mean,  what is to be gained?  What is the end game?

Simply post your stuff for sale.  If pix are requested,  post them (though I recommend you do so intially to save a step),  and when someone makes an offer and you ACCEPT IT,  freakin' close the deal!  It's so damn simple.

Here is what I dont understand...

I asked for a picture of the yoke on December 13th and got a response and pic within a few hours.  Here is what was sent...  Obviously, a bad picture:

So I requested another one after things started to go strange on the topic thread and got this one that evening:

To which I asked if it was still available (since it appeared that it had been promised to someone else and go this response within 30 minutes:

"Yep, it's still available."

So obviously there are pictures and a yoke.  The question I have are they his pictures and his yoke?

What ever became of the RAM control's repro yoke project ?  Did they run out of money and call it quits ?  Did anyone get their deposit back ?

Who knows? Here's the thread:

I feel obligated to drag this thread up from its rightful resting place and add a quick update:

I came to an agreement with armax on a trade deal (in the midst of the ugliest period of this / these threads), and pulled the trigger on a wish and a prayer.  Since it wasn't an outright paypal sale, I figured I wouldn't be out any money, rather just the goods I was sending him.  I also figured if I was sending him something in trade, I would for sure have a name and address for him (and he gave me his phone number too).  A quick reverse lookup confirmed his phone number, address, and name all matched.  Not a foolproof plan, but at least it was something.  I also checked the metadata of the crappy pictures he sent me, and they matched with metadata from pics he sent someone else.  They were apparently taken with a cell phone at low light, and the dates of the metadata jived.  (Knowing that could be spoofed, but figured it was not).  All the items he was sending me were in the same picture, which helped with piece of mind.

UPS verified my item was received on Dec 22nd, but by that time, armax had disappeared completely, and did not answer any emails or PMs.  I gave a little benefit of the doubt knowing it was during the holidays, and figured he might be travelling.

Fast forward to Jan 6th....  Still no reply to any emails and PMs.  2 phone calls to house number rang to voice mail after 2 rings (no msg on my part yet).  I started planning for the worst, and knew that it was all a gamble to begin with.  I knew that I would probably not persue anything with address (sending law enforcement to bust down the door and get my joysticks, lol).  But I figured at worst case, I could at least have fun leaving messages to his house (which from what I gather is his parents(?) house).

Made another phone attempt yesterday on way home from work, no answer.

Get home...... package at my door (not uncommon if you know me, lol).

Return address........ BINGO!

Open box...... Its all there.  In good shape.  Everything as promised.

Conclusion......  Armax sucks at communications and is slow with shipping (still could be from holiday) but some more communication would have made it all better.  BUT, he did come through.  I think I came out with the better half of the trade, so end result is I am happy.

GATORDAD:  If you are still reading....
I feel bad that he f-ed you out of a sale that he obviously offered you.  I went back in my PM list and noticed that our trade deal was made shortly after he asked you for the money.  Realize that when I made my offer, I had no clue he was dealing with other people on the same items.  He told me the items I was looking at were all still available.  My only guess (and I am by no means defending him) is that armax liked our trade deal better than your sale deal.   That's not the way I would ever deal with people here, and I don't think it was the right way to treat you, but in the end, it was his stuff, and I guess he reserved his right to take a different offer (again....not defending him).

I do feel somewhat bad for benefiting from your trade-gone-bad, so if there is anything I can do, or a consolation prize I can send you, I would be more than happy to do so.

I'm ready to close this chapter, but figured  I would fill everyone in, just in case someone else here was waiting for their goodies.  It might give them some more hope.  (I hope someone got a good deal on his SW yoke).
