Here is my plan:

get a supergun

get an X arcade dual joystick

Im not completely planned out, but I WILL BUY THE BOOK.

Quote
Ah, I gotcha. What you want is to build a cabinet to play PS2 games. It's not too hard. You can then play some of those fighters. Only 1 cabinet needed!

I also want the arcade versions of the games!!!!! The PCB's !!!! THE ACTUAL ARCADE DATA.

so I will look up the options. Thank you very much. But I still need to know where I can buy PCB's (EBay does not count.) wait... NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

bidding has ended for the cheap cab.  :hissy: :hissy: :hissy: :censored:

meh, Ill take in the options.

Here is what I wrote down in notepad:

FIRST CAB

Arcade Supergun

Gutted Cab

Cheap Monitor

Coin Mech

PS2 CAB

X-Arcade Dual Joystick controller with Ps2 Adapter

Gutted cab

Cheap 19" television

No Coin Mech

Now all I need is a good place for PCB's. NOT EBAY.
oh, BTW, how much is 259,00 € in us dollars?

This thread hurts my brain ... I am being pulled to one side by the little voice saying "be helpful to the new guy who needs some guidance" and pulled to the other side by the little voice saying "bitchslap the obnoxious guy who somehow fails to see that people are trying to help him".

SuperShadowRyan -- STOP FREAKING YELLING AT EVERYBODY TO HELP YOU WHEN YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU WANT !!! If people are taking the time to answer your questions and help you, then be decent enough to show some appreciation.

We can't help you if you refuse to listen and learn. Part of your refusal to listen is likely due to your inexperience and a building frustration with that inexperience.

First, if you are relying on your parents to buy this and they won't buy the cabinet then your time is better spent reading and learning, not yelling.

From what I read, you want to build a cabinet to play VF2 (and maybe some other games) for less than it would cost to buy a dedicated VF2.

Is that correct ?

You really need to slow down, exactly like mccoy suggests (and he is more polite about it than I will be) ... you don't yet have the first clue what to do but you seem to insist on telling everybody that they are wrong or that they don't understand.

I sincerely doubt that you can come up with a situation that stumps the folks here ... it's not like we don't know what we're talking about ... it's that you aren't yet able to ask the right questions (and there is no crime there!)

Slow down, listen and learn and things will go more smoothly.

65" Mitsubishi big screen.  Also, craigslist.org really is the best route considering that your parents won't let you have the cabinet, I would assume due to cost, and a new t.v. is about half of that cabinet.  Just by a $20 special and have that part done.  A new t.v. isn't going to provide anything else besides a shiny cardboard box to possibly start your cabinet out of.

I'm not sure what just happened there! It was weird reading all of that in one hit and then seeing the start-date of this thread! Damn you guys are patient.

I tend to lurk but I can see there's quite a threshold to pissing people off.

Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Pacman.
And research indicates that Space Invaders are strongly attracted to people who have recently eaten meat pies.

actually, what size would you recommend for fighting games like virtua fighter and tekken?
You know what? Im just gonna walk into best buy tommorow and see what they got.

I just wanted a long ass quote thingy of my very own. Thanks.

I'll tell you what gets to me.  It's when someone messes up the pyramid!

We are a longggggggggggg way off from the record pyramid, that's for sure
this is true...

I thought pyramids were illegal.. or is that some kind of scheme??

No... you're just confused... It's "Hippies" that are illegal and they're into pyramids as well.
Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Pacman.
And research indicates that Space Invaders are strongly attracted to people who have recently eaten meat pies.

I didn't want get yelled at for breaking the streak  :D

I didn't think the Supergun worked for Med Res games.  Does it?  Or it can, just not on a regular TV?

I like the 10,000.00 Pyramid.  It's pretty and messmerizing, scroll up and down quickly.

Make sure you post pics of you playing it tomorrow.

Heh, its 9 where i live, so you will see pics a a couple days.

but any reccomendations for a Cheap 19" television for my PS2 cab and a cheap monitor for my supergun? Just to get me started?

Define cheap... either way - check out craigslist for the TV

cheap? under 200 bucks. 100 if possible.

actually, what size would you recommend for fighting games like virtua fighter and tekken?
You know what? Im just gonna walk into best buy tommorow and see what they got.

I just wanted a long ass quote thingy of my very own. Thanks.
I'll tell you what gets to me.  It's when someone messes up the pyramid!
Pyramid FTW!
This is all getting very Ancient Egyptian now.... I don't know! All this talk of Pyramids  :applaud: Just thought I'd add to it... Are we going for a record pyramid score here??
We are a longggggggggggg way off from the record pyramid, that's for sure
this is true...
I thought pyramids were illegal.. or is that some kind of scheme??
No... you're just confused... It's "Hippies" that are illegal and they're into pyramids as well.

I want to take a day off from work and hang out at Best Buy today just to see the kid walk in with his notepad printout and ask someone there for a 25" TV, and X-Arcade sticks, and a VF2 PCB.
He must be grounded.  He hasn't posted 20 times yet today and it's already past noon.  I'm worried about him.  What time does BestBuy open?

School?
I didn't think of that.  I wonder if he's gonna crap when he sees there are 50 new responses?
you mean 51 responses....
Well, that was just an arbitrary number, but I'll go with it.  Here's to 52!

A little FYI kid,

DO NOT BUY THE TV RIGHT NOW.

GUTTED CABS ARE NOT STANDARD, THEY VARY IN SIZE.

YOU NEED THE CAB FIRST SO YOU CAN KNOW HOW BIG THE TV CAN BE.

Also, best buy does not carry tube anymore.

Since you have a hatred for ebay, another good place for a virtua fighter pcb would be to search out every arcade within 100 miles and ask if they have a pcb laying around.

This is a small hobby and even smaller for the pcb side, don't expect to find what you want easily.
