It's powered by the Arcade-In-A-Box :).

I sent them my demo unit about a month.  They called and told me what they were planning on doing, so I said sure, take my demo unit apart and go nuts :).

I hope it comes back to me working LOL.

All that work and it looks like the marquee is blank.

I don't think that it really is the largest arcade cabinet.

If you look closely, those people are really only a couple of feet tall!

THIS is the largest arcade machine:

That's the first machine I thought of!

EDIT:  Hold on... they got the record??

"Has to conform to the shape of a standard arcade machine"

...more like "typical".... What's the definition of "arcade machine"?

That's a bit unnerving..

I would assume a standard "upright", as opposed to a "cocktail", "cabaret", or whatever the hell that Namco building is.

They should have replicated an actual arcade machine like they did with the NES controllers, rather than just a generic one. A giant Defender would have been cool.

Those "buttons" they are using are similar to the big blue KO punch button on a Punch-Out machine; but even bigger (2 ½" diameter vs. 1 ½" diameter). Speaking of Punch-Out, that would have been even better to replicate on a giant scale. It would have given them an excuse to use two of those giant monitors for an extra 5 feet or so, plus they could have used an extra huge button for the KO button.

That would have been much cooler if they did an accurate (or more accurate at least) scaling of an original cabinet.  He says the cabinet is 14' feet tall, that's about 2.5 times the size of a "standard" cabinet, but the buttons aren't 3+ inches, and they stick up.  The giant quarter is cool, but again, it's like 4 or 5 times the size of a real quarter and the cabinet as a whole is not.  Big=yes, but it could have been cooler.

I think we should push knievel to challeng them.

Make one 20 feet tall with the knievel bling to it.

Well, he ain't no prize, and there's no women his size,
And that's why the cat's so mean"
