I PMed Saint this and never got a response, although it was not too long ago he may not have gotten a chance yet. Anyway, i think the mods should consider all things before moving topics.

"You seem to have moved a topic i was involved in to PnR. "Man refuses to show receipt" thread. After i have been following this thread and i cannot get into PnR i would request you put it back to EE or let me into PnR. It is kinda unfair for me to just have to not post in that thread anymore ( if i had something else to say) from it being moved to another section without taking into account others who would not be able to see it anymore."

That is all you should have to do.  Just request access to PNR if you want it.

I really don't want to get into PnR, but if that's the only way i can finish a topic i started posting in...

The thread became political. You will either need to request access to P&R or give up on this thread.

This is ridiculous. You have a thread start in EE and then want me to jump through hoops to be able to finish or still follow this thread that YOU moved. What kind of place are you running here?

How can you sit there and expect me to fill out some request for why i want to be in PnR when i don't want to be there. I just want to be able to get back to a thread i started posting in. Surly you can understand this concept.

I'm sure this thread and post will be ignored or i will just be pointed to another link or maybe even be given some lame excuse for why i am required to do what it is you ask but for future reference try not to get your members involved in a thread only to just have it moved to a blocked section. That's just good advice.

Oh and anyone thinking they are some smart guy saying "this is Saints board and he can do what he likes" can just give that a rest, we all know this.

Tommy,

Nobody is forcing you to do anything. There is no gun to your head. If you dont like the rules or how the board is moderated; you are free to start your own board.

I would expect a comment like that from you. The answer is not always "if you do not like it leave" don't be one of those guys.

I guess if i were to start a thread in B/S/T and someone were to tell me "God bless you tommy, you sell great items" i then would have my own for sale thread moved to PnR and then be locked out from posting in it.

You gotta think when you have sections of the board that some people cannot or do not want to get into before you start moving things around that were accessable to all at one point and then block them out of it the very next day. This is a legitimate beef.

I never said leave. I'm not trying to start anything remember I'm not the troll.

Saint, Peale, Woogie, and Nivo all put their hearts and souls into the place and they have no control other than to moderate to the best they can and if someone pops a nasty comment in or if the author turns the thread towards a political spiral and the direction of the thread changes then all they have a few choices. split the thread, delete the offending posts and warn / ban offenders, or whatever they see fit. They provide the 'forum discussion' forum as a courtesy and as a means of feedback. You've obviously PM'd Saint by your own admission and he has stated why the particular action was taken. He provided you means to access the thread by suggesting you request access to the section that the thread has been moved to. You gave your feedback.

I understand your pissed, but why drag it out. Stop being a Debbie

If you can't exhibit enough self control to be able to read and reply to only one thread in PnR if granted access, how the hell do manage your own life?

Quit whining.

I have to agree I hate it too when threads go away and become unreadable. I hate censorship. Yet we do have to accept that this site is censored and they have good reasons for it.

The alternative is (was) that the whole thread would be moved to post hell. Now at least you can have access to it if you want.

Maybe there should be more policing on threads in Everything Else to keep threads polite and apolitical enough so they can remain in EE, but EE is not really core business for the site. So I cannot see how we can ask the moderators to put more time and effort into that.

So I agree with you up to a point, but If you take a few breaths and relax a bit, do you still not think you that are overreacting a bit?

You are way off base here and don't even understand the thread you are responding to. Try reading and understanding the topic before you make an ass out of yourself.

You posted in the thread in EE regarding the guy who wouldn't show his receipt at Circuit City nor his driver's license to the police officer.  The thread got moved to PnR.  You are whining because you don't have access to PnR.  Saint posted the link for the thread that details what you must do to get access to PnR.  You whined again that you just want to post again in that thread but don't want to go to PnR.

The reason you dont want to get access to PnR is because you will inevitably feel like you have to respond to someone who you don't agree with.  You don't have the self control to simply ignore it hence my comment.

The forum rules shouldn't have to change because you are weak minded and can't control yourself.  When PnR was public, I very rarely went in there.  Not because I would feel inclined to post, but because it held no interest for me.

What you should have done, instead of acting like a petulant child, was politely ask if there was a way the forum could be setup so a registered user could always reply to a topic that they had originally posted in regardless of where it was located (excluding post hell).  That would have been the polite and professional way of offering a solution while still sticking with the current setup.

Instead, you acted like a child with your subsequent posts.

Oh and anyone thinking they are some smart guy saying "this is Saints board and he can do what he likes" can just give that a rest, we all know this.

So you want me to either....

1. Spend my personal time editing a thread that probably should have been in P&R in the first place so that it can stay in EE, which would also alter the content and substance of the thread even though there were no rules violations, or

2. Keep the thread in EE thereby ignoring that P&R was created to keep contentious threads of a political or religious nature (in which you yourself posted 128 times) from spilling over into the rest of the forums, which was creating much heartache and was something a significant number of forum users asked me to fix or outright ban such discussions altogether, or

3. Grant you access to P&R without having you go through the simple courtesy of reading and following the requirements for access to P&R, all of which would have taken you less time than your posts in this thread would have, or

4. Modify the code base of the forum to grant you access to a thread in a sub-forum you otherwise have chosen not to have access to, simply to satisfy a single user's request to post in a single thread?

I do not think any of these options are beneficial to the overall well being of this forum and will be leaving things as they are.

apparently you DON'T know this... since you still choose to whine and ---smurfette--- about it like a baby.  Go ask for access to PnR like everyone else has to, or just shut the ---fudgesicle--- up.

You are way off base here and don't even understand the thread you are responding to. Try reading and understanding the topic before you make an ass out of yourself.

One is left to wonder why "reading and understanding the topic rules before you make an ass out of yourself" is so hard for you to grasp.

The "signup process" was instituted so asshammers no longer have an excuse to whine about being "exposed" to political/religious discussions because of their own lack of self-control.  The thread got politcial and therefore was deemed to require moderating and was moved.  If you wish to STILL comment, either follow the simple rules laid out, or let it drop.

Since you clearly wish to whine about it, you're NOT going to let it drop, which is why the signup process is EXACTLY what you should be REQUIRED to go through.

Your apparent lack of self-control is why the system is currently in place.  Either stop your whining and shut the eff up, or sign up for P&R so you can share the opinion you believe nobody else can live without.

Whatever your choice, get down off your cross.  We need the wood ::)
