Looking for a game like Raiden...

Sorry.  I know these are too prevalent at times...

I'm looking for a game almost exactly like Raiden, but I don't think it is.  It is a game where you fly a ship/plane and shoot stuff (top down as well) and collect powerups.  The first powerup doubles your guns, the next one makes you shoot 3 different directions, and the powerups continue until you turn into a Phoenix (flaming bird that shoots out a very wide projectile that kinda looks like a shield or something).

Any help here?  I've been looking for this game's name forever and can't find it.  I'd love to pick up a dedicated cab or at least a boardset.
