Leaf buttons/switches.
« on: June 05, 2007, 04:40:04 pm »

Where does one buy these?

I would prefer translucent coloured buttons.

Ponyboy has leaf switches that fit translucent microswitch buttons over in buy and sell.

Cheers BobA,

I have tried him.

He is currently out of stock and doesn't sell normal leaf buttons which was my 2nd choice.

All I have seen for sale are the microswitche buttons now a days.  Ponyboy is the only one that has anything different.  Good luck in your search.  You might want to check with Kenivel.  I remember he used leafs in one of his projects.  I don't remember if they were Ponyboy's or not.

TTFN

I have not dealt with them.

www.lizardlick.com

Be prepared to pay a buttload though.

www.centsibleamusements.com has buttons and switches, but has none of the plastic switch holders.

You can try PMing Level42.  He may or may not still have access to Suzo's inventory through whatever means.  (Last I checked, they only sold to large companies, etc.)  I assume their catalog is updated, and all the items are still in there, but you never know.  This is how I acquired my 25 or so leaf buttons and switches.

http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?action=search&category=Game+Parts&subcategory=Buttons  (limited selection)

Probably a couple that I am forgetting, but Steven (ArcadeShop) and Bob (Roberts) are the ones I would have gone to first.

I have seen them at Wico

and at bobroberts
http://homearcade.org/BBBB/parts.html#ac

Don't buy them all as I am getting closer to buying some of my own.

I'm kinda surprised that the Wico page is still up -- they closed down over a year ago.

Cheers fellas,

That was awesome.

However, I need white ones because these are going on a Defender.
Wico would have been my best bet because they have everything otherwise I would have ended up buying from 2-3 different stores and the shipping would be $$$$.

Man, who would have thought buying buttons could be this hard, lol.

No worries -- the site certainly makes it looks like they open, but there is nobody home, but that was true before they closed as well !

If none of those vendors have the white ones you need, you're off to ebay and arcade message boards.
