my oscar spinner works fine, and the TB moves up and down, but dosent move in any other direction. i dont know what it could be, the axis' are wired fine, i think. im using an opti-pac, happ TB, winxp.

Did you try swapping the axis wires to see if you can isolate the problem to either a bad optic board or a broken wire in the harness? I picked up a brand new Happ trackball not long ago, and mine was doing the same thing. It turned out to be a broken wire in the harness that I didn't notice until I looked over all the wires very carefully.
If you swap the axis wires and the problem stays on the x-axis, then that could indicate a bad x-axis optic board. If the problem moves to the y-axis, then you could have a bad wire in the t'ball harness.
