I admit, i'm guilty of it too.....but does anyone actually talk about arcade games anymore?  The bickering, polluting threads, and 'witty' jokes about 'joysticks' and 'balltop handles' are starting to get old.  It seems like you have to wade through about a dozen childish posts to find any useful information these days.....it didn't used to be like this.

So true...the monitor forum is where i get alot of good information.  That really is where the people know their stuff.  I just think it's sad that i ask a legitimate arcade question about a Ms. Pacman kickplate in the arcade misc. section, and get 2 replys (thanks Lutus BTW ) But then someone makes a post about selling a PSP or a balltop and that post gets 2 pages worth of nonsense polluted replies and is kept at the top of the page for days and days.

Well... I just read that thread (Ms. Pac Man kickplate), and you did only get 2 replies. The thing is, though, you got the answer to your question. I find that in no way to be sad. Would you rather have everyone polute your serious thread with 2 pages of nonsense? I do agree that it has gotten a little out of hand lately, but I also think there is always a place for a little bit of humor (you have to find the right place, though). Snaake/OC and kaz1961/NJDevils2006 need to chill out, that is for sure. I think it is totally appropriate to let everyone know if you got screwed, but I think it needs to stop when Saint says it needs to stop. That is for sure. At least it has only been threads of those people that got screwed up. If you check out all of the other forums (excluding EE & PnR), you will find that there are lots of informative threads and lots of people willing to add good useful information to them.

Well, I didn't get a definitive answer...Ken said all the ones on his route had them, i guess i was just hoping someone else would chime in as well.  But you're right, i don't want my thread filled up with BS replies either, i see your point.  I agree with you about about the others.  We have a "bad trader" thread.  All of the concerned parties should put what they need to put into that thread and let the rest of us figure out for ourselves who we want to do business with.  Perhaps i jumped the gun a bit, some comments are funny, it's just better when they are few and far between and not on a constant daily basis, which has been the case lately.

I saw that thread as well. My answer would have been the same as Ken's so I didn't bother to answer. I suspect that quite a few others did the same as me. Which is worse, two useful replies or two useful replies and 15 people saying "ditto"?
