Button Configuration Question
« on: March 17, 2006, 08:07:01 am »
What is the most natural way to wire buttons with Mame?

Joy 1  2  3      or      Joy 4  5  6
     4  5  6                    1  2  3

and where do you put the 7th button for 4 button games like NeoGeo?

Thanks,
Southpaw

Also - do a search for posts with "1 2 3" (include the quotes) by me.  I got about 10 hits, some maybe more useful than the above.

Question has been asked and answered a lot.

Oh yes, plenty to read!  Now I am more confused.  I am trying to set this up with an LEDWIZ so doubling up button 4 would not be an option.  Can someone just explain to me how to set up NeoGeo to accept button 1,2,3,7 without configuring each game?

Thanks,
Southpaw

I think you can create a neogeo ctlr.cfg file to do that.
