Do I need a custom compile MAME??
« on: January 13, 2006, 09:12:20 am »
Hello,

I have been out of the Mame compiling scene since version .63 (yea I know...its been awhile!)  Anyway, my version of mame has been recompiled to skip the "OK" screens, "Bad/Missing ROM screens", and "Wrong colors, etc" screens.  I just downloaded version .103 (src and compiled.)  Apparently there is a way to tell MAME to not show this stuff anymore without re-compiling.  How is this done?  And if this can be done, can I eliminate all screens betweeen loading and playing?  I just don't want anything to show up between the time you press Play in MameWAh and the game.  Thanks in advance!

Anyone?  I found the skip_gameinfo, but the skip_disclaimer doesn't seem to be valid?

bad dump/color problem/ graphic problem/sound problem etc..... you still need your compile.

The ones thats been skip are:
skipgameinfo
skipsomething.....just look in the INI file.

Yea the only "skip" option in ini is skip_gameinfo.  Im pretty sure the skip_disclaimer is referenced in the readme, but apparently not available in .103?? Can anyone confirm?

BuddaMAME also has the skip options enabled, but I don't know how current it is.
