I have ambient arcade music playing in the background.  Gets me in the mood.  All I need is a few blacklights installed and I'd be in heaven!          8)

I never heard of this Fading Twilight collection of game music before (where I found that classic Space Invaders by Player 1, seems like they've got a lot of game music that might suit a cab. You can grab CD ISO's with excerts of the collection here. And here's a list of all the songs.

none here mentions "Pacman Fever" "Do the Donkey kong" etc...Buckner and Garcia ? Thats whaty I got on my cab along w/ the ambience stuff plus some MP3 (mostly 80's).
I am sure that "The Warrior" was sang by Scandal:Patty Smyth, was there a Benatar w/same song name ? Can't find it in Amazon, was this just another AUS release ?

I used to have "Pacman Fever" at my son's request. I got so damn sick of it though that I had to change. I now have a collection of 80's music that plays randomly. I always think of that wandering eye when I hear "Who Can it Be Now" by Men at Work. Weird.
I've got a fever...

Every now and then, when we talk about this, we still have a good laugh.
How about "Word up" Cameo.

Doesn't having a song loop get annoyingly repetitive?

Be careful with some of the above links.

I've got "Star Treking, across the universe... boldly going forward cus we can't find reverse" on one cab.... mostly because it's got a Star Trek theme to the cab...  and because I'd rather have something amusing on it than the classic ST theme.

Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy The Bear)
Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Pacman.
And research indicates that Space Invaders are strongly attracted to people who have recently eaten meat pies.

Well, yeah...

I didn't figure people would be listening to it while they play.

I may just be in the minority here, but my machine is on all the time. While it is on, it is often sitting at its main menu (game selection), which this is what the topic seemed to be about. If I had a song playing over and over and over and over again there, I'd probably go insane (beyond reasonable allowances of insane already allotted for our types that is).

"Jump" from Van Halen's 1984.  Perfect for platformers.

If I were going for the same mood I was in in the early 80s I'd need the first few albums of Weird Al Yankovic on there.

I have a weird setup, but I have my MacMame machine set to screensaver with about 75 shuffled early-80s music videos from VH1 Classic.

"I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL"

BY JOAN JET AND THE BLACK HEARTS!

When I think back to my arcade days this song always pops up.

Oh, and "ROCKIT" by Herby Hancock
They treated me like an animal and that's what I became.
