Convert a $1 coin mech to a $.25?
« on: January 11, 2003, 01:25:20 am »
I got a happs coin door with 2 slots and 2 mechs included. THe left side is for a quarter and the right side is for a $1 coin

Obviously there is a size difference in the cloin slot itself, is that adjustable?
Also the magnet(? I assume thats what the gold round piece is) is different sizes on each?

Is there a way to convert the $1 to take quarters? The mech itself is the plastic "universal" 3x5 type sold with most of the happ doors

Ideally I'd like for both slots to accept any US coin for credits , which may invlove some crafty cutting and moving of the switch

Some coins mech are adjutable. If you adjust them all the way sometimes they'll pass all coins. If the adjustment doesn't work it shouldn't be to hard to bend the mech so that it will.

just buy a .25c coin mech and replace with the $1.00 coin mech.
