Please help! What cab is this?
« on: September 13, 2005, 01:19:33 pm »
Hello, I can't identify this cab.  Not the same picture as KLOV.  Any clues?

Thanks,
Southpaw

Any reason you think it is not American Speedway other then KLOV?

Seems like it is a 2p American Speedway to me.

I thought it might be a conversion because the picture doesn't match....

The CABINET looks like it's an Atari cab to me. (Centipede/Dig-Dug/Kangaroo/etc...)
The wheels are the same ones on Ivan Stewart's Off-Road.

I'm not sure where they stole the mounting brackets for the wheels, but I've seen them.
I just don't have time enough to look, since I'm at work.

Surprising for some, KLOV isn't 100%.

American Speedway is a 2P at the same time game with a Red and Blue car like the CP.  KLOV only has a 1P cabinet.

That being said maybe it's a conversion, I honestly don't know.

If it's a dedicated two player cab, you should submit your pics to klov. I agree with NBA, looks Atari to me.

that's definetly a conveted atari cab. someone just took there time with it. american racing was by pgd, came out in '87, and his jamma. no way it came in that cab.

look at the back or inside it and i bet you'll find what was in there originally. in just about all the conversions i've seen there is still a serial # plaque or some other type of identification.

Looks like you could cut the cabinet down right below the CP and have a nice Bartop.  ;)

And you'd work the gas pedals how?

Hello, I think it is a dig dug.  The control panel holes look very close.  Can anyone confirm this with model # 367XX, serial # UR03872?

Thanks,
Southpaw

It could be, that is why I am hoping that the model # and serial # can be identified by an Atari expert....

Thanks,
