If you're in a hurry, I suggest trying what Chadtower suggested. He was right on the money -- there was a guy at the mall who made me a custom hat for $15. It took 10 minutes, and nothing was misspelled. I'm still looking forward to my BYOAC hat, but this one will suffice until the other arrives.

Where's the pic that Pixel did on there? You got rooked. He told you those flames were gonna just "blend in" with Pixel's button.

All I've EVER seen at those places near me were some hats that looked like ass (asshats, perhaps?) and the level of customization was "whatever letters you want me to put on it dood".

OK. I have good news and bad news and then more good news.

Good news is that the structured hats, putty hats and one khaki hat are done and on their way to me.

Bad news is that the other hats aren't yet on there way due to yet another embroidery mistake.

Which leads me to the other good news...
The embroiderer has reordered the affected hats and has agreed to send the originals as well. So anyone with an affected hat can get an extra free (actually for the extra shipping if significant).

The extras will not have custom names on them.

The mistake was minor - while stitching the BYOAC side, the straps were stitched into place. This means those hats can be adjusted smaller but not larger without cutting the strap to release it. According to the embroiderer this won't affect the majority of people (only "extreme large" has been... errrr... disabled.)

What I inferred from that info is that if you had a structured hat, a putty hat, or the khaki hat, the mistake wasn't done to those items, therefore, there is no mistake to make amends for.

Stingray won't be getting 2 pink hats

Have I deciphered the info correctly Pixel?

Yeah, the structured hats, putty hats and one khaki hat are all fine. There are no duplicates of those. Hopefully I'll get these monday and can ship them out.

The rest of the hats (including the other 8 khaki hats) all have a matching "shorter strap" duplicate that is available free to those whose hats were messed up. Once I can get the exact shipping price I'll post here. Anyone with a matching freebie can paypal the extra shipping cost, reference their BYOAC ID, and I'll add the hat to their shipment. These hats will be a week or two behind the others. No paypals until I get final shipping costs please.

So if you got a structured hat or a putty hat there is no matching freebie. I'm not sure at this point whose khaki hat is fine and in transit.

Well I got this email today from the embroiderer.

Hey Mitch,
The replacements came quicker than I expected, so I shipped simultaneously.
They went out yesterday. You might have them tommorow.

wow...I'm in advertising and used a guy to embroider shirts for a client....man he screwed up the order FOUR TIMES......it was unbelievable!....I mean, once OK....twice...uh, OK....but FOUR times!!!?

All hats are in transit. I couldn't break away from work yesterday to get them sent so they all went out today. West coast(ish) locations should get them by thursday or friday. East coast may get them by saturday, but depending on holiday slow downs may not see them till monday or tuesday.

I should note that while the logo is larger than I had expected, it is not as large as the photos would have you think. In looking at these pics the logo appears to take up the entire front of the hat which is not the case.
