They are no longer available. If you are desperate for one I may be able to get the embroiderer to custom order an additional hat, but (if possible) would be more expensive (3-5 bucks maybe) due to individual shipping. Let me know ASAP.

Yeah, got an email from the embroiderer yesterday... they should be ready to ship to me next week. That'll take 3-5 days then another 3-5 (first class) from me to everyone else.

Please remember to add Stingray's fitted size 8 hat in Pink, but again, ONLY if it will delay his original order.

Well I paid for mine in July, so I don't think asking in November what the status of the hats are is really being that impatient. I don't think a lot of people (including myself) realized how long custom hats take to make. I had hoped to wear mine to the Dallas vgXpo in August, the Chi-Town Classic (in October), and the multiple videogame auctions I've gone to this summer/fall. Now I'm hoping it'll be here in time for the next Dallas SuperAuctions (Dec 10th).

At the mall near me there is a mall cart where the guy will custom make embroidered baseball hats, from your pdf formatted logo, in 10 minutes. It's kind of cool.

I agree. It's frustrating me as well. I think in the future I will use a different embroiderer, or get a firm delivery date commitment before ordering.

In any case these custom things do take a while to get completed. Tokens for example are just arriving now.The hats are absolutely happening. They are being embroidered by an individual (not a big company).... the upside being I get very tight control over quality and detail, the downside being that I have to deal with an individuals's schedule.

That said I certainly understand people's frustration with the timetable and asking for updates is always welcome either in this thread or through PM. I've emailed the embroiderer again today and will post his reply.

And me ordering those pink fitted hats for Stingray probably hasn't helped things either

FWIW, these types of waiting periods have happened for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that's been a "BYOAC-branded item" around here. Do a search for the t-shirts. If the wait wasn't a problem, the merchant was

Check out both token threads. Check out the last hat thread. For cryin' out loud, look at the holdup for SAINT'S BOOK! Things happen, and while not helping anyone's outlook, it hasn't been confined to these hats alone.

As long as the requests for updates remain civil, as they have been, small product runs of BYOAC-branded items will continue to be a wicked-cool niche item only a select few of us swanky types can buy.

The BYOAC ass hats I ordered for Stingray and Chad have been in production now for almost a year. We're lucky Pixel's hats will be done before then

Just heard back from the embroiderer.

Hold up has been availability of the putty hats. We agreed to get them from a different vendor since the existing order wouldn't have come in until mid december on backorder. So that's the last hurdle. He should have them in hand monday and will stitch and ship them the same day. That means I'll get them later that week and I'll ship them out immediately for 3-5 day delivery.

Does that replace the embroidered jock strap or is it in addition to?

CRAP! I forgot all about that! Well, he's said he already has a BYOAC codpiece, so delete that part of the order. Unless it will hold up the hats a bit more, then add 3 more

Well I'm hoping it stays on schedule. Unfortunately the embroiderer misspelled arcade so most (but not all) of the hats are having to be redone. ARGH! But I am hoping to still make the schedule of "the following at the latest"

I'll update as soon as I get an ETA from the embroiderer.

I apologize for the delays. I should have known better than to jinx myself with that last update.
