They painted it black, but I recognize my own work, it still has my handwritten instruction sticker on it, not to mention the sign I put on it at Superauctions.

It was not made in 2005, it is not jamma, it does not have a horizontal monitor, it is not medium res, it doesn't even have an encoder, it has a hacked keyboard.

Here are a couple pictures of it when it was at my place (lower picture was before I swapped in a Universal joystick, which is viewable in the upper picture and is what is on it now).

My only real problems are that they painted the nice white laminate black and that they are claiming to have made it themselves, and almost every bit of information in the auction is wrong. And the price is rediculous, that game cost me like $50 or $60 to make.

She was like in 7th grade in that picture, she is like in 9th grade now, still thin, but no longer has that undernourished look.

You could report them to Ebay. Not only for including ROMS, but also for having a link to their website on the auction.
Not sure if you want to go down that road or not though.

2005 is the year they "customized" it with some crappy black paint.

How the hell can you have a "classic" from the current year

Maybe they ripped out the innards you put in there and replaced it with JAMMA stuff and the horizontal monitor, but I'd put the odds on all those things happening as half-of-slim to negative numbers.

To be honest with you though, it looks a WHOLE lot sweeter dressed in black than that white laminate. Other than THAT aspect, it'd kinda piss me off knowing they're trying to make an INSANE profit off of that machine....I LOVE the buy it now price

I could buy several machines for that price at the auction!

If you sold someone your car, and they painted it black, and popped a stolen car stereo in it and sold it... why would you care? Its not yours anymore.

As for crying about roms sold... Anyone knows that a mame cab will most likely be used for playing illegal roms. While I do not condone rom sales... I will say that all the fuss over trying to stop it may draw more attention to it - thus making it worse than simply letting it quietly happen.

I personally hardly can see how anyone could play the thing... as the joystick angle is ridiculus.

Maming a rare cab is much worse a crime.

Btw - Black looks much better.

Well, they answered Ray's email.

Apparently they did replace the computer, they said it burned up from heat. It did always get warm in there, but it wasn't too warm, the fan must have failed or something.

WHO WOULD PUT A BAT STICK ON THAT CABINET?

That cabinet is screaming a ball stick... low profile. A monroe would be perfect! Or maybe a 4way anniversary with only classics...

but a bat? I bet its an Ultimate instead of a Comp or a Super too!

I put the bat stick on that cabinet, it is a Universal. It was an on purpose decision. It was the ONLY joystick out of like 30 different models I owned that would work in that application.

The machine originally had a GIANT 2-way balltop with a big wide slot in the panel. The original stick looked really cool, but had a really long throw and didn't perform all that well.

The Universal stick was the only stick that both hid the slot AND worked well at that angle. I tested it with a lot of sticks and the balltop sticks did not work well with the ergonomics of the machine. The machine is really short, look in the picture of the little blond girl playing it, she is like 5'10", you can't operate a short little balltop on it at that angle and position, at least not comfortably.

Plus the universal was the only one I could install without drilling any holes.

Looking over his feedback, it doesn't look like he's been selling machines too long. I think he's gonna find out how big of a PITA it can be real quick, especially with those big driving cabs.

why can't D.Foley go after this companies ? Why is he after/trying to shutdown invididuals and not this companies. There is no way that company had rights to sell 600 games. Could he get the rights to sell with the games mentioned ?
Wonder if we call them up and ask if we can put this out for business use (just to see what they have to say) ?

The 600 in 1 sign on it was actually made by me.

Funny thing is that I might have only sold that cab for $400, but I actually did make about $1500 off it, the stuff I bought with the money from that cabinet brought in about $1500.

I do it too, my only rule about drinks and games is that if you are gonna put a drink on a game it better darn well go on a flat surface. Anyway, the top of that game had contact paper on it to hide all the cigarette butt burns.
