How does it look so far?

How does it look? I'm thinking of adding a little more bling to it (Slikstik metal handles).

I don't understand the need to make a control panel so "deep" (with all that empty space near the bottom). Is it because you need to rest your elbows?

:) Anyways, my only comment is that it's unfortunate that you couldn't recess the mounting plate, so that your art went over it.

NO MORE!!

It looks great except for not having translucent buttons.  ;D

I have changed my nickname to "Cakemeister". Please do not PM the Buddabing account because I do not check it anymore.

It's deep, because it sits on the control panel box, which is smaller than the area of the top (Standard LUSID/Project Arcade setup).

I didn't recess the mounting plate on purpose, because I wanted to be able to remove it if I needed.

:-) Believe me, those will be going on as soon as I have them! Still waiting on the prototypes...

I guess this is my question also...
It looks very nice with the artwork, but isn't it a 'reach' for the
controls... especially spinner... my back hurts just looking at it.

But... I must say.. its better than what I have!!!

Shwanz, as long as it works for you, then YES, it looks GREAT!!!

...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

I've table tested it, and the 8-ways & trackball feel great. The 4-way & spinner are indeed a little uncomfortable, but overall I'm pretty happy. I might tinker with a different layout on the next one.
