It won't help to put out the fire, but earthworms are a good way to deal with crap in a natural way.

I have a worm farm that takes care of my rottweiler GIANT steamers and it works well with surprisingly little stench. The bi product is without smell and is good for the garden.

Of course you would need a lot of earthworms to eat a daily crap pile that size.....

Sad as it is, I live about 20 min. away from that thing. If the wind blows right the whole damn city stinks.

And it's the wrong kind of fertilizer to put on crops according to the goverment. Besides who wants to load a burning pile of sh|t on thier truck and take it home?

AND, believe it or not, thats not the worse smelling thing around here. Take a trip out to a hog confinement if you ever get the chance. That has to be THE ABSOLUTE WORST smelling thing you'll ever encounter. Imagine 2500 hogs living basically on top of each other. Just the smell of the hogs themselves, without the sh|t and piss and rotting feed and dead rodents and insects and the lagoons, is enough to make you gag anywhere within a 5 mile circle of the place. And I'm not going to mention what they do with the dead animals.

Yeah...pig farms are incredibly awful.  I live near Circle-4 (pig farm) in Utah.  It's like the biggest or fourth biggest in the country or something.  Nasty.

That confinement that I was talking about has this huge "flush" tank at one end of all its buildings, with a "trough" running down the center each building. Every hour or so a bell or whistle goes off and the water dumps out the bottom creating a small creek that runs down the center and out the other side of the building. When the pigs here this bell they all jump up and run to the center to do their "business"
