Question on mouse buttons
« on: January 21, 2005, 11:17:34 am »
In the center of my CP I am mounting a trackball with 2 buttons for mouse use.

Next to this I wanted to mount a 4 way on one side and a spinner on the other side.

I would like to position the mouse buttons such that they could act as a fire button for the 4 way or spinner so it would be layed out like this

4-way  left button  trackball   right button   spinner

In the games which use the 4 way or spinner and a single button is it possible to map the mouse buttons as that button or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

Just trying to avoid over buttonizing the CP

sure you can use the mouse buttons for your 4-way or your spinner...You just make sure in the MAME.INI file mouse is enalbled and assign the mouse buttons in MAME (tab).

Ahh, thank you!  I kind of figgured that was the case but I wanted to make sure in case I had to order any more buttons with my next parts order.
